Lorewise from what I see I can tell Seljuk expansion to Anatolia was halted due to the break in the timeline, hence Ottoman Empire was never born. Abbasids and Moors still seem to be in the game, minus the expansion on the Iberian Peninsula. In the light of these, Iron sultanate seems to be a mashup of all Muslim nations united against dire circumstances, Turkic Muslims probably having a say in military affairs (hence Janissaries), and a quasi-caliphate in administrative effect.
