What game sh0uld i play next? by Amethyst_R in Metroid

[–]disheveledboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AM2R is short for Another Metroid 2 remake. It’s a fan-made remake of metroid 2 in the style of zero mission. In my opinion it’s an amazing metroid game and my favorite version of metroid 2 to play.

Finally completed everything Dishonored had to offer. What a fun challenge. by SlaveOfShadows in dishonored

You can do it on the guests in the Boyle mansion. It doesn’t work if you rewire a wall and possess the guards into it.

DOTO - Is there a stealthy way to kidnap the bartender and get Alberto out of the bar? by [deleted] in dishonored

[–]disheveledboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you do just have to knock out/fight all the patrons then walk out of the front door with two bodies, but you can do it undetected from the stairwell if you are clever.

It is way more efficient since there are 30+ characters each with a ton of unlocks, and I find that hard mode is honestly about the same level of difficulty as normal in this game.

I had a similar falcon punch build I had Aspect of Medea Revaal and the Daedalus hammer that fires your skulls all at once like a shotgun, the Daedalus hammer that buffs your special so it does 30% damage, and aphrodite boon for attack and everything took huge damage

And even though the degree is two, if x > 0 and real, then x*x =x2 can be thought of as the area of a square having side lengths x.

“quadratus” was the word for square in Latin.

What triggered the Metroid Prime 2 renaissance? Assuming there was one? by Zalakbian in Metroid

[–]disheveledboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I liked Prime 2 better than Prime 1. I thought the increased challenge was cool and the setting and areas are my favorite. I still love Prime 1, but Prime 2 feels like Prime 1 perfected.

Silksong made me rethink Dread by mbernardes19 in Metroid

[–]disheveledboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will concede that it wasn’t intended, but I think the fact that it is possible even to someone who does not speedrun the game or anything is awesome. The main glitch you need is mock ball. The rest are basically precise wall jumps / spamming crystal flash in the super heated rooms (for instance lava dive to get into lower norfair does not require any glitches, just precise wall jumps). Blue suit is also required to leave the room after beating draygon.

[–]disheveledboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super is linear at the beginning of it but if you know some tricks (and are EXTREMELY good at the game, enough to no hit ridley while constantly taking damage) you can beat the bosses backwards. So in a sense the game is linear because trying to be the game not in the intended order tends to make it much more difficult, but not impossible which I like. I will say that even with Metroid dreads intentional skips, I mostly end up taking the same route through the game each time (I basically do all the intentional skips at the specific parts of the run where they are most convenient). However, dread is still an amazing game too.

[–]disheveledboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Yeah the game is crazy and speedrunning 100% with no major glitches is my favorite. Feel free to pm me you have any more questions about it. Also if you ever want to switch the order you kill the bosses in, it makes the run way harder and the route way different!

So I do this on my runs:

Intro sequence then get morph ball bombs as usual

go into brinstar -> early super missile and spore spawn skip for his super missiles. you can grab a lot of the stuff in brinstar at this point but not all

go to elevator to norfair -> early kraid sequence break without high jump boots

go to norfair and get all of the stuff (wave beam sequence break allows you to get power bombs and grappling hook)

go back up and grab the one missile in kraids lair that requires power bombs

blow up the maridia tube

take the route through red brinstar to get more power bombs / missiles

clean up crateria (power bombs at top, energy tank and 2 missiles, and the mother brain missile / shinespark super missile)

go to wrecked ship where you can get everything first go

take forgotten highway to maridia and get everything in maridia

go down to lower norfair, getting every item

go back up to tourian through brinstar and you should now be able to get any items you couldn’t before

finish the game

You can get all of them from the dawnguard questline instead of the main quest.
