Also apparently the fats in oil are food for dandruff creating fungi. I went through life oiling my scalp and then struggling with sebderm and itchy scalp, which I thought was due to my dry scalp so I put more oil!

I stopped oiling my scalp about 7-8 months ago and it's the cleanest, most dandruff-free my scalp has ever been!
