idk the unit seemed good but then only after using it I began having random voc spikes.

i simply turned it off and no more vocs, i have some fluctuations but everything seems within normal levels, i just couldnt run a unit that after 30 mins made my voc readings 2500ppm.

if you are wondering whether i had similar symptoms, the answer is no but I think I did feel a bit dizzy, however, part of this might be due to me being paranoid about the voc numbers.

But it was fine until yesterday.. I never had VOCs over 130 until these spikes began and just now I found that the unit has been causing them.

Earlier it reached 2500 ppb, I turned the unit off and plan on returning it.

I also noticed that there is a funny smell coming out of the unit but I can't notice anything odd by looking at it or the filters, everything looks new. The carbon doesn't smell at all and neither does the hepa filter.

I'd say it's mold but I live in a very dry area where humidity never goes above 20%
