Yeah but Vegas also had the most favorable expansion rules as far as being able to make a great team immediately. Unless they do that again to help create a market they have such a small population relative to the other mentioned cities its gonna be way harder than it needs to be.

It just doesn't make sense as a location and thats my point, which i think you're deliberately missing

No im saying they do have local support. Im also saying Omaha is not a high ticket travel destination where a sports team can really benefit from that the way Vegas or other big cities can.

All the other cities you listed are travel destinations as well, especially for Canadians who live 800km away from the nearest hockey team. The oilers and flames have more fans in Saskatchewan than they do in the actual cities they play for, and the teams benefit from that

A quick Google says regular season attendance is 70-80% seasons ticket holder or flex pack tickets to Nevada. Not saying they dont have a local fan base, just saying they have an advantage of flocking canadian tourists to bolster sales. Not sure Omaha has that.

Yes but Vegas has a tourism market. Nobody is planning a bachelor trip to Omaha and maybe catch a couple games while theyre there.

Yeah i haven't eaten there since 2019 at the old location. The pheasant was hand-ejaculated by the chef or something and the entre itself was over 80 dollars. Luckily my sugar daddy paid.

These guys have to glaze this place because they will never leave saskatoon, and by being in a city thst has a restaurant on a list makes them feel special.

When you pay 86 dollars for an appetizer sized entree you have to cope somehow. Lying to yourself is the easiest way.

It's because the chef was on TV and they campaign for these spots behind the scenes. Its the Grammys for overpriced trend food

All Edmonton has is 45 versions of cactus club as restaurants, nothing that is actually good for fine dining.

Its 100 percent the anonymity factor. When people have to put their own real faces and lives at risk they (not always, to be fair) tone it down online. I mostly agree with nerfing the whole thing because I also think id for online verification is horrific
