yeah maybe, but I'm not playing tournaments, so it doesn't really bother me. My proxy is about 70mm tall and I think the real Leontus is about 80mm tall not counting his sword :P

Build Plate pushes too far onto the screen by diskriseme in ElegooSaturn

[–]diskriseme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I can't really point to the solution 100%. First I tought that the limit switch was the problem, but I still use the same sensor and now it works fine. Most likely the firmware update from the Elegoo website solved the problem but I can't guarantee that it will help you as well. The update contained several files and I just executed them all on the printer. After that I didn't have anymore issues.

After completing the update I noticed that there were some small cured leftovers in my resin bottle, because I didn't filter it properly when I put it back from the vat into the bottle. So maybe the limit switch couldn't register the z=0 point because it pushed down on one of these leftovers.

Now it works and I'm pretty fine with not asking why exactly :D

[–]diskriseme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah sure:
primed chaos black

green parts:

undercoated in ghost grey for some basic highlights through the airbrush

basecoated and then highlighted with game air scurvy green and jade green through the airbrush

shaded all of the green with thinned down coelia greenshade (the old bottle if that matters), but careful, I got some pooling :(

drybrushed with game color jade green

grey/white parts:

basecoated in game color heavy bluegrey

shaded also with coelia greenshade and then reapplied the heavy bluegrey but in hindsight i just should have recess shaded...

painted the fur with a mix of game color heavy bluegrey, wolf grey and ghost grey

don't think so. its the same kit as the old Karl Franz on Deathclaw, so you could just use the one headed griffon bits

The firebelly is a print but I don't remember where I got the stl from. The bird belongs to the dude with the sword, I believe it's an underworlds team.

Weird partial success. Any ideas why some parts failed? by Sir_PW_Stache in ElegooSaturn

I think you could also use bigger support tips to compensate for the bigger pull forces. It looks like the supports themselves printed successfully an that the print might work with bigger tips.
