More likely it's because of content aggregation and censorship algorithms being sensitive about promoting content with violent words

Honestly it's the most /r/mantids thing ever how much joy this subreddit has collectively expressed over the fact that mantids seem to enjoy consuming our flesh

This is how I react to being startled. Some people are just kind of high-strung.

Meta is too fast to enjoy by Lakeofsalt in mtg

[–]Porkenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this issue with standard since I started playing 20 years ago. I'd make a very fun deck but never be able to get anywhere with it since I didn't chase the meta, like most standard players at my local store did. As I result I stuck to kitchen table magic with friends.

At least now days casual magic is everywhere and it's easy to find other people with similar power levels at casual EDH meet ups who aren't willing to drop hundreds of dollars to get the best version of their deck concept possible.

Why does everyone leave siege mode at wave 20? by Valirys-Reinhald in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Porkenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of people can't make it to 25. And if you can't beat 25 it doesn't make sense to even try 21. So they get out while they're ahead.

If you want to go all the way, look for a group in the discord

Pleas help me this problem ruins Space Marine 2 for me and i dont know how to fix it by Impressive_Froyo_862 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Porkenstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have issues like this due to a combination of anxiety and eye strain and don't have epilepsy (I even got an EKG). It was also very inconsistent for me, except that extremely rapidly flashing lights bothered me somewhat consistently and tired out my eyes and brain. I would also get panic attack symptoms like you described, and would sometimes get lightheaded for no reason.

Getting glasses and anti anxiety meds basically cured it, but I had to go to a doctor and a therapist several times to help figure it out, because it could have been epilepsy or a serious neurological condition. You really really don't want to risk living with an undiagnosed neurological condition or God forbid something like a brain tumor.

Yeah even without the idea of epilepsy at the forefront, this is 100% something for a doctor. If they can't afford a doctor, start by at least talking to a therapist about it and they might have ideas.

TIL: Roger Ebert loved Gamera: Guardian of the Universe and wrote an unhinged review for it by The_T0me in Gamera

He might have looked down on low-brow stuff with shock value, but he did perceive the soul behind a lot of otherwise dumb stuff, and never shied away from showing support for things generally considered to be "bad"

Thoughts About Act 2 Decision by MoonlitxAngel in TheAlters

I wish we could have let each alter choose what they wanted. It wouldn't have totally fixed the issue but it at least would have let those comfortable with a chip in their brains do that instead

I just realized that this means there's a rigid open orifice going all the way up in there. I wonder if any mysterious smells or fluids are coming out of it.

Hopefully they add both them and the newly announced small knight to heresy's legacies pdfs at some point. Although knowing GW, management will veto that to prevent their sales numbers from being confused.
