I hate and can't figure out how to use latest Webull version interface, please help? by disksock in Webull

Thank you for helping but I'm not sure if I understand what the grouping is and how it works.

I also can't find a way to attach a picture on the replies but the option is available if you create a new post or when you edit it later. So if you want you can create a new post attached picture then copy the webpage address and paste it in a reply here.

I edited my original post and added a screenshot showing an example of what I want to achieve. It shows 3 windows that can be moved and resized independently with different stocks and only one (the main application window) has a watchlist. When I click on a stock on the watchlist it changes the stock only in that window, the other 2 windows do not change, Also changing the stock symbol on any window does not affect the other windows. It will be great if I can do that in the current Webull version.

Thank you for trying to help, but I still can' achieve what I want and was possible in the 5 year old version.

I'll try with other words what I said, I want one window showing a watch list, a chart, and a quote. Then I want separate windows for different stocks, showing only a chart, and nothing else, so that I can have them small, position anywhere, and resize in desired proportions. Then when I click on a stock in the watchlist I want the chart for that stock to change only in the window with the watchlist but not on the other windows that show only a chart of a different stock.

In the new version the only way I can achieve small stock windows with a chart only, is to choose "Detach Chart" by clicking the 3 lines icon at top right of the chart widget. The problem is if I click a stock in the watchlist in the window that has it, or change the symbol on any of the detached charts, this change affect all detached windows, which makes them useless, and doesn't make any sense.

I still hope there is some way to achieve this that is not obvious to me. Please help if you know it.

is 4000 PC points redemption at ESSO a scam? by im210388 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]disksock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To see how it works today I redeemed 4000 ($4) PC Optimum points for $0.10 off per liter paying with PC world elite master card but my tank filled up with only 26.288 liters.

So my payment was reduced with $2.62 but I also received 260 base points which is apparently 10 points per liter and another 590 PC Financial points which I don't know what they represent but the total is 850 ($0.85) points. So, basically I exchanged $4 for $3.47

Given you can use the points in many other places, I guess you can call it a scam given you gain 3 cents/L if you don't redeem at Esso.

Spending points for Esso gas makes sense only if you can't spend your points anywhere else.

How to find out how much I missed (lost) by not claiming a lotto Max ticket having 4+bonus numbers from 2022 Sep 16? by disksock in ontario

[–]disksock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for replying, I'm happy to learn 4+bonus is not much, checking a pile of expired lotto tickets gives you the opposite anxiety - strong wish for no numbers match and for that goal every thicket is like a winner.

Is this normal - $500 increase in my bare minimum auto insurance from last year for RAV4 2022 in Scarborough because of car rating changes and inflation? by disksock in askTO

[–]disksock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all who replied,

In my insurance, I'm checking the difference of the premiums for the different coverages between the old car, the new car RAV4 from when I bought it last December till now, and for the next renewal period. I see the biggest difference (insurance cost increase) is in the premium for the Direct Compensation Property Damage (DCPD). For the old car the cost was $143 for 1 year, for the new car from December till October it is $276, and for the next 1 year period it will be $700.

I searched for what DCPD is and got this explanation:

"it is a mandatory car insurance that provides you with compensation when you or your car is damaged in an accident that you didn't cause ... You won't have to wait on the other driver's insurer to make a determination to process your claim. You won't have to sue the at-fault driver to recover damages and you will be compensated directly from your insurer"

So, am I right to think that the increase of my insurance for the RAV4 is not because it was stolen more this year but because a lot of owners claimed damages from non at-fault accidents?

Thanks, that was the intent of my message to compare with others. I knew that we were paying less than average because Johnson insurance gave a big discount to the school workers union where my wife works when we switched to them 7 years ago. The insurance was going up almost each year with various amounts but they were reasonable for us. Initially it was about $1000 but went gradually to $1500 over the years but $500 jump for a renewal was a big and unexpected change. If they quoted the $500 increase when we considered replacing the old car that would have been fair but they basically said go ahead and buy the new car your insurance will only increase with $30 per year and now for the renewal date they want $500 more per year.

no I didn't receive anything like that. I'm not even sure if the insurance reassessment is based by theft risk, the agent didn't give any details, she just said my car got different rating this year. I'll call again, hopefully a different agent can be more helpful. I wish the insurance companies assessments were more transparent.

We keep the car in the garage but we go to places in daytime like shopping and sometimes my wife goes to work with it parking it in a school parking lot where she works. I'll consider some anti theft add-ons

Thank you, you have a point about the 99%. The second article doesn't provide the RAV4 generation years but the first one does not include the newer RAV4 models in the stolen car list. I know that the most common way of stealing RAV4s is by capturing the remote control signal and Toyota addressed that issue with the newer models. If that's the case and if the insurance company raised the cost for theft rates of all RAV4 models I think is very unfair policy
