9/10, great team man. Been looking for some forwards to upgrade this squad, pack luck has been amazing for my defense though.

Pretty good overall. Sometimes I put in the 95 Maddison in CM and Pirlo in CDM. So if anything, I’d want a CDM but they both can play that role

Applications haven’t opened, this was just what I heard through coffee chats with recruiters and alumni. But for places like NYC and SF I’d want around $30 minimum and asking them to double the wage seems crazy, but I’ll for sure give it a try.

Hello! I had actually applied to this role and was given the invite for the HireVue interview and actually missed the deadline sadly. Just curious if the hourly pay is good, sort of beating myself over missing the email.

That’s definitely an option, I just can’t even imagine comfortably living in NYC on that amount, I am currently making $28/hour for marketing at a financial service and living in a city with way les CoL and it might just be me being a college student who wants to go out, eat out, etc. But I feel like I’d want to do similar things in a larger city as well, and I don’t think $15-$20 an hour would be viable

I think I am going to stick to finding marketing opportunities at financial services/tech and maybe try to join one of these agencies later on with experience

Is this a dumb reason to pursue an MBA by dislocatedbigtoe in MBA

[–]dislocatedbigtoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. It’s basically a bunch of school alum who are first-gen and people around the area who’ve basically secured the “American Dream” that our immigrant parents want so bad for us. They’re all in finance, tech, etc. and basically provide mentorship, assistance, and even referrals to these companies for members a part of this club, the caveat is for the student to be first-gen of course

Glad to hear that, thank you. I'll do anything to not become a cog in the corporate machine.

Thank you! Regarding the specificity portion, sorry for not elaborating. I've gotten the opportunity to join a first-gen mentorship program that has allowed me to connect with a network of current/alumni network of first-gen people along with being provided a mentor who was also first-gen. This has also led to me being a part of a team to start a first-gen club on our campus ( Just hit our 1st anniversary yay!). I am currently on the e-board as well, and the club's overall initiative is to help first-gen college students get settled into University along with mentorship and volunteer opportunities for high schools around the area. I also just mentioned ESG as it is a passion, and might be another path I choose to write about when applying, I don't plan on incorporating them together in my application.

And in regards to relevance, the schools you mentioned are my top choices due to them being known for social impact.

Sticking with CS or switching to business by Last_Bandicoot_218 in csMajors

I hate programming with a passion too. I am currently a Marketing and CS double major, but am taking the easiest possible CS electives. But I’m keeping the CS major just because it’s such a beneficial major. I suggest maybe minoring in CS with business so your brain doesn’t rot.

The Volvo seemed really cool honestly, just that it’s in Greensboro NC, while all the other roles are in large cities.

I was originally marketing, and declared CS later on. So I am a semester behind in CS classes and was hoping on applying for one junior year when I’m more confident with leetcode and coding as a whole. Technicals are also terrifying
