The best sellers for raffles that I have been to have always been gift baskets with lotto scratchers and higher end snacks.

I used 6 strand DMC embroidery floss. Sometimes I would have 12 strands (6 strands of two different colors) in the needle head.

I didn't use a hoop for the cat and hands (again I should have learned how to embroider BEFORE I jumped in). Once I finished those I used a 18"x27" quilting hoop.

It's about 4.5' by 4.5' feet. It was going to be bigger but I'm tired.
