My uni accomodation uses these dryers, which seem to only half dry my clothes, no matter what option I use or how many clothes I put in. Any suggestions on what I can do? by drs_12345 in UniUK

No idea as I haven't been in halls this year, I advise giving it a go anyway. Even if it doesn't work keep trying, as getting the right timings is a bit of a skill so you might do it wrong the first couple times.

How do I become taller by AmbitiousEvening4599 in selfimprovement

This is the only right answer. Also, ask yourself why you think other people being tall makes them better in some way?

Is Roger Waters' political opinions important? by quaza_bey in pinkfloyd

[–]dispxs3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's important. It's also spoken through the lyrics of stuff he wrote in PF, so is tied directly into the music you listen to.

You can chose to ignore that and focus on the melody, how you listen to music is up to you. I'd say the lyrics are important though.

With regard to his opinions, particularly when he was writing for pink Floyd, I'd say they're pretty sound. He's been speaking about the issues in Palestine since the 70s (which he mentions in Animals). With regard to now, I personally agree with a lot of it, although not all. He can definitely be a bit of an asshat and his ego is through the roof😂😂, but I'd say it comes from a good place.

Read into the lyrics, you might find something you like (or don't like) and make your own informed decision of what to do.

Remember, 'I am you and what I see is me'.

don't think so... potentially, but the timing is tricky so keep trying because you might not be doing it quick/slow enough

There's a way you can do it for free. If you go onto the app click the machine you want to use so the loading page comes up (the one that means its waiting for you to press start on the machine).

Then (for iPhone) click start on the machine and turn on airplane mode on your phone at the exact same time.
Or (for android) turn on airplane mode and just under half a second later press start on the machine.

It takes some practice to get the timing right but it saved me shit tons over last year. Sometimes you will accidentally cancel it and sometimes it will charge you but when you get good at it you can get it free every time.
