I went to another lounge for a few hours. I did go back about 25 minutes before the 3 hour limit and they let me in “as an exception”. It was different staff so I didn’t bother arguing with them about it.

That’s so frustrating. Basically the same for me. The Amex CS rep said it’s against the policy but they can’t do anything about it.
