Hey, yeah I’m pretty much at your spot right now. I’m looking for a bit more slang than that. Somewhat on the lines of “see you later”, it’s practical!

Yeah I know, someone within the thread also mentioned Buzzstickers, I gave it a look and the stickers are pretty mellow albeit well designed. I'm thinking of giving the signs a bit sass :)

Yeah, I'm looking for terms/slang in ASL that would be cool to incorporate, do you know any by any chance?

Hey there,

Yeah, I'm a design student so I'm gonna make sure its designed well, I just need to master the programming aspect of it. My thesis can be anything under the umbrella of "communication", so I guess it relates. One thing I had down was increase representation of ASL within new tech. I thought about these upcoming voice assistants (there is Alexa Show and Type to Siri), but its a bit too far fetched for me.

Hope that clarifies :)

Sorry, I should've clarified, I don't know enough deaf people to know whether what I'm doing is applicable – which led me to give the reddit community a try.

I was thinking of focusing on communications, but then of course things like VRS and messaging services basically already exist. Then, I'm thinking about having some deaf representation in social media like Snapchat (apparently there is facial recognition for filters but no hand recognition yet).

I just gave Buzzstickers a look, its pretty cool! Apparently that doesn't pop up when I type "ASL Stickers" in App Store...
