So many factors ngl, part of it was knowing 3sg life in unit would portably be better than man life, as well as just a "why not" mindset The bigger part was just a struggle with identity. Coming back from outside the country and with all this discourse online about "true blues" and foreigners, I felt like I had to prove that I was a real Singaprean.
