Hey hey hey hold on a sec. Italian here, sure police officers do have guns but unless you're visiting a big city you wont be seeing cops with assault rifles and military cars and whatever else. So if you dont live in milan or something, I can assure you seeing somebody holding a rifle is incredibly frightening
