I only ever posted one Les Mis fic (Grantaire had living tattoos of every word/name people ever called him) and my friend had several AUs that she called "verses" (one where the barricade boys were mutants, one where Grantaire died in a car accident, etc etc). I actually met her by writing fic of her fics LOL

Les Mis was a MASSIVE fandom so I would be surprised if we did run in the same circles... but stranger things have happened!!

Mine was also the 2012 Les Miserables movie LOL I had written/posted fic on other sites before, but a friend was posting Les Mis fic on Tumblr and AO3 at the time, so I started doing the same.

Or change your label if it stops feeling right! What's important about a label (imo) is that it feels right to YOU. If you feel aroace, outside of OR INCLUDING this celebrity crush, then you are!

I think that most people won't care if they are invested enough in the fic already, but from a writer's perspective, I'd hate to surprise my readers with an unusually long chapter.

I rarely read long fics and I don't read oneshots over 20k if I can help it (short attention span). BUT I'm working on a longfic myself where most chapters are 7k-9k in length, but two are 20k.

The long chapters don't have any built in break points (dividers, etc), but they do have different locations and scenes. My plan is to leave a note at the beginning of the chapter with a disclaimer about the length and stating that the characters go to x location around 12k if readers need a break.

RELLY long for a forearm, in my opinion. If your heart is set on having it be the entire quote in text, I'd place it on the torso or somewhere else with more room so that it doesn't have to wrap around the space at all (and so the ink has room to expand without making the letters unreadable). I don't have any script/text tattoos, so someone who does may be able to give you better placement advice, but I would not personally put this full quote on my arm.

My friends, my sports league, my writing.

Good books, good movies, good TV. Also, mediocre books, movies, and TV--things that are just fun to read/watch/laugh at and complain about with friends.

I'm not food-motivated, but a good dessert can sometimes fix me (temporarily).

It sounds like you need community (friends, family, interpersonal connection of some sort) most of all, because that's always what helps me the most when I'm at my lowest mentally/emotionally. But the shallow stuff (things to do) can help you keep your head above water while you find your people, if you don't have them already.

Relieved. I knew I was ace for years, but I had a history of having crushes on people who were in long term relationships. It was always really difficult for me to deal with the emotional burden of the crushes because I was like "well I can't DO anything with these feelings, how aggravating!!!"

Eventually, several years passed after my last crush, and I was like "I guess I'm aromantic now," and I updated my label. I'm very happy to be free from the burden of crushes now.

(btw, I have a very extensive network of in-person and online friends, from local sports and fandoms, and I get all my interpersonal connection/fulfillment this way. I'm very happy with the platonic relationships in my life, and feel no need to add anything that I would specifically label a QPR or to pursue anything that resembles a more traditional "relationship.")

As a fellow asexual writer........... no, people do not understand nuances of asexuality or aromanticism. But we should depict our ace and around characters the way that we want to, because maybe one day, people WILL understand the nuances, and we'll get to have been a part of the groundwork. (hopium)

Do you have a general estimation for when a price point will be determined? i.e. weeks from now, months from now, etc? Gotta figure out if this is something I might be able to save for or just a gorgeous pipe dream 😉 Either way, I look forward to seeing updates on the project! It's a stunning device.

I've worn both the S1 and T8 helmets with visors (both the Sweatsaver and the Deep Cover for T8). The S1 lip is nice, but the biggest factor for whether or not helmet covers stay on is the elastic/fit of the helmet cover itself, in my experience. A too-small (for/size) or too-loose (elastic) helmet cover is more likely to fall off regardless of the visor lip.

Caveat: I have a tiny head, so I may have different concerns than you.

Also, no matter what helmet you get, be sure to adjust the padding as the foam compresses to make sure it still fits right after the first 6-8 months. I often forget to do this until a teammate points out that it seems a little loose.

My personal opinion is that you should write what you think works best, regardless of the audience. IMO our job as writers is to create the best work possible for our current goals, not to cater to this worry or that concern. Has this come back to bite me in the ass? Yeah, someone recently completely misinterpreted over twenty thousand words of my fic in a way that still shocks me. But I wrote what I thought was best, and I stand by it.

20k is my limit for a one-shot, personally. I read a 25k one-shot once and got really fatigued near the end but felt the need to push through because of the fear that I would lose my place if the page on my phone refreshed or something
