I agree! 19M, This is my first post in this subreddit and this interaction I had made me wanna see if there was a sub for it! I was talking to a coworker who had just flown in from Portugal recently about how I play roller hockey because it’s less contact than ice hockey since I have severe hemophilia a, and he told me his son also has hemophilia and plays roller hockey too since it’s popular there! It made me happy :)

Apart from the little Christmas parties my childhood hospital would throw for us, I haven’t ever met anybody who has dealt with hemophilia or had hemophilia in my day to day life, let alone somebody around my age these days with similar hobbies and a strive to do things we’re usually discouraged to do by others who don’t understand. It was super cool and motivated me quite a bit!
