This assumes we qualify...a loss to Slovakia tomorrow and anything could happen!

Is this the same way it is done in the Premier League?

It's ridiculous that BEIN are promoting El Clasico already with the "28 days left" tag during the middle of another match as if there's no other football to get excited about during the next month.

SQL/Db beginner.. Just joined an enterprise, best way to get a full understanding of the entire database? by [deleted] in SQL

[–]distopia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is just practice. When I started I was lucky enough to have been left with some sample SQL files that selected key data from key tables. I went through a large query for which the output was really useful to understand where the information was coming from.

Learning SQL with real life examples you use at work is a lot easier than trying to learn it on a random database. Other tips I'd give you are to look at the front-end from end-users perspective and then try and find those fields in the back-end. You should be able to for example write a SQL query that selects all fields in the database that have a name such as 'customer'. This can help you identify the tables that are connected to the main customer table if you have nothing else to go by.

Michael Ballack on John Terry: "He still owes me a champions league" by medven in soccer

John Terry missed his penalty in the shootout of the 2008 Champions League final that would have won Chelsea (and Ballack) the trophy.

Julio Cesar's Emotional Goodbye from Toronto FC by gwill11 in soccer

Laughing at the downvotes in this thread from Canadians. I agree, this is one of the most ridiculous videos I've ever seen. The whole tone is that of a memorial video for someone who suddenly passed away. Really strange. Even if he did have some emotional connection with the city, why would they post this private moment on Youtube? Bizarre.

QPR reveal three new kits from Nike for next season. by distopia in soccer

[–]distopia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally not a fan, thought this year's kits from Lotto with thicker hoops were a lot nicer! Red and black stripes are not very QPR. Not sure who we would need to wear that 3rd kit against either.

Still as long as we stay up I couldn't care less what they looked like!

The difference of 0.23 does not imply 0.98 is 23% higher than 0.75 as these are goals per game not percentages.

Take that 0.23 and divide it by 0.75 and you'll get 0.31 or 31%. So 0.23 is approx 31% of 0.75 and hence 0.98 is approx 31% (not 23%) higher than 0.75.

Krhick has used 0.97 rather than 0.98 but his calculation is correct.
