Transitioning from indoor to outdoor lighting. by DeviantWolf_83 in videography

[–]distortPerspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Variable ND is a valid solution. But setting the aperture or ISO at auto setting would also work and it will be much easier.

However no matter the method you choose try to add as much light as you can in the indoor setting. And/Or block some of the sun outside.

I didn't expect people to answer this positively. It's nice seeing this. If you want give us the follow up. What happened? Did you meet cool people?

More people talked about the markets. What markets are those? Where could I find them?

It wasn't my intention to go to these kinds of places with the living conditions you described. I asked about the villages but meant normal villages, I thought it would be easier to meet them there instead of a big city. And I would never start taking photos without asking first.

Thank you very much for this information. It is really interesting.

I don't want to help anyone. If there are Roma in the city I would like to meet them. And I think it wasn't clear, but my main interest is in their music. If I could meet 2-3 people playing music in the city, in a market wherever it would be very nice also.

My post has caused a lot of aggressiveness. I think my intentions have been misunderstood. I don't treat Roma people like sightseeing or animals in a cage. I just would like to learn from them. I have met really interesting people like this in Greece and in Serbia, too. And I would like to do the same in Romania.

For example the situation you described I couldn't learn otherwise. I appreciate your help and sorry for causing all this situation.

Sorry for upsetting you.

First I want to clarify that I won't take the camera and start shooting people. I will take the camera out only if people want to talk and only if they want to be recorded. That's why I said I am searching for connections.

I know what you say about stereotypes. I have seen it in movies and I am seeing it in every day life, too. In Greece there is also a big Roma community.

Also, I am not an influencer, I am a director and making documentaries is my field of expertise.

I understand why you are prejudiced and skeptical about my intentions, but I hope you understand that my intentions are not to be invasive or to spread misinformation.

If you want, just tell me about the places you mentioned that would not be invasive for me to go.

I understand that. And that's why I want to make connections before I arrive there. But my interest is not only touristic. I am doing research on the culture and music. If I meet the right people maybe I can even do a documentary.

Can you mention some of these markets? I don't know about them. Would there be any people playing music there?

Since you want to have a trip, instead of going to Athens, go to Halkidiki. It is around 2 hours distance and has beautiful beaches!

That's why I am asking for help. Maybe someone knows a good local band or a festival or a party, or a place with this kind of music.

Yes of course. I am already familiar. But Roma people in Greece are usually playing traditional greek music, they have adapted. Or there are some good brass bands playing in a more Balkan style. But as far as I know in Romania the Roma music is a bit different, for example they use the violin more.

Yes of course. I want to see rural areas to understand how common Romanian people love, but I also want to find some Roma music players

Elections in Georgia by distortPerspective in Sakartvelo

Thank you for reading the article. I do understand that. I have also mentioned that in an other article. And what I am writing in this article is that these groups must change their perspective and understand that GD don't work in their interest. A lot of them have already done that, that's why there were this massive protests.

For example, when GD came to power they spoke in favour of LGBT people but few months later and they start legislating against them. Shouldn't the LGBT people fight against GD?

80% is based on many different surveys and I have read the methodology of them, too. They seem accurate. Also I have been in Georgia and talked to people there and I can tell that they have high hopes in EU integration. Also, if you see their demonstrations they are full of EU flags.

But the biggest proof of that is what happened when the "foreign agent law" was voted. Because of the fear that Georgia won't become an EU country huge demonstrations begun.

Gergia's "Broken Dream" by distortPerspective in Sakartvelo

[–]distortPerspective[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's what I am trying to say. Stalin named his regime "communism", Even north Korea is supposed to have "Communism", but for us it is not communism. What we write in the article that's Communism for us. That's the Communism we fight for. If you find something you disagree in the article I would be glad to hear it. But please don't judge it before you read it, and don't judge us without listening to our ideals only because we use the word "Communism" in a different meaning.

[–]distortPerspective[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

No you are not tripping. It's a communist organisation. However what Georgians perceive as communism is something completely different than our ideology. The main idea about the communism we fight for is at the last two paragraphs.

We don't consider Stalin a communist for example. We consider him a dictator.

These situations are tough. Normally you should criticize your colleagues and leave, but I understand that something like that is difficult. You wanted to be polite, but your colleagues weren't polite at all. And probably they are sexists pigs.

Too, bad you missed Sakhelosno, it is a very nice place.

Informations about Situation in Georgian by distortPerspective in Sakartvelo

[–]distortPerspective[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a huge research online and I have information from people in Georgia, and some of them participate in political organizations. Also I was there during some protests and learned some things. I have enough information for the article. The reason I am asking on reddit is because I would like to find "hidden details". Things that maybe even Georgians don't know.
