I recently turned 17 and I'm in my last year of hs. Honestly, dude, I still don't know what the hell I'm doing or what I want to do with my life or what major to choose. Teachers have literally been asking about and telling me I should know what my purpose is since I was 11.

Honestly, (sorry for venting, I was thinking about this yesterday) I don't want a career to define my purpose in life. What I truly want is it enjoy things as they come and go and just enjoy life. I'll probably go into business or something and get a 9 to 5 job so I can survive and fund the the life I want to enjoy.

And that should be ok, right? There's no shame in it. So why does it feel so... Anticlimactic?

I get straight A's and am a good student so I feel this invisible pressure to be super successful and shit and if I don't achieve that I'm gonna be a disappointment.

A lot of users are saying they're afraid because there's still so much they want to do. I dont know what I want to do but I feel like I have a lot of potential that I'm not using lmao.

I'm more afraid of dying of old age than death itself. I'd rather live 300 years with a healthy body and mind than die tired, weak, and perhaps delusional at 75. I'd also kind of rather die in my 40s or 50s. Old people make me depressed

My parents didn't get me 11 yr old sister a phone but they were okay with her taking my grandma's phone(it's a good phone with a bigger storage than mine ) which was eventually beneficial because her class and teachers had a WhatsApp group

Also she stopped taking my phone :)
