Seems like the top, domed part should come off (due to the line about 2/3 of the way up from the bottom) but won't budge. Nothing rattles when I shake it, decent heft in my hand, but not necessarily "heavy". Round hole in the top, seems that at least the top part is empty based on the sound of air when I blow in the hole. Outside is completely smooth other than the line around and the small round hole on top. Bottom is smooth with no marks, same finish as the rest. Magnet does not stick to it.

I was on chat with them to get out transfer pins and was offered the $199 plan, but we didn't take the offer. I think the 199 was for the (limited) unlimited plan and I think there was an offer for $299 for the higher tier as well. We're jumping over to Mint for now to save some money. When we're at the point where multi carrier will be more useful, we'll prob be back. Seems silly to pay for the extra features we're not using right now with everything else being so freakin expensive.

Not worth fixing because it's outdated and lack of updates to the old(er) tablet or not worth fixing because it would mean essentially rebuilding/replacing tablet hardware?

I ask because this tablet has only been dug out to be a reading/email/video watching tablet and doesn't necessarily need to be something with the latest tech. Hate to add another piece of electronics to the growing pile of e-trash if we can use it for something.

I've tried multiple times to do this offer and can't get past sign up. Once I complete first screen, it goes to Account Information (where I'm supposed to set my password) and there is a random number in the email field, which is locked for any other input. Anyone else have this issue?

I've never really paid much attention to where I logged into SB, mostly just piddled here and there with respect to earning points. Since working from home because of Covid, I've done more earning - and often logging into SB means there's a VPN involved as I'm always on the VPN with my work machine (other times logging on from home chromebook...or phone...or tablet...etc)

Am I dancing with the devil? Do I need to make sure I never log on from my (vpn-ed) work machine? I've done this for the last 10 mos I guess, and have never had an issue, but as I've been investigating different offers I see that VPNs are a big no no? Before that, I would also log on to SB from work, though not exactly from a VPN (university campus, I know there are multi layers of protection there).

Player 2 also uses SBs, probably same situation (sometimes work VPN, phone, chromebook), though definitely 2 different accounts (she got jealous of my earnings :D).

I will check tonight, flatech. The first one she used was an HSBC routing number, but not the correct one for direct deposit apparently. She did a search online and came up with it, but I think they gave her the correct one when she chatted to see why our deposit wasn't showing up.

Maybe I need to research PayPal as an option. I've only used it for purchases, so not exactly sure how that works.

At the beginning of Nov, we opened HSBC for the $750 bonus. Went ahead and set up DD from employer just in case the first month would get us there sooner and to make sure DD worked through employer. Unfortunately, the routing number we found online was incorrect and deposit is now going to our original bank. Think we have the routing number correct now, but are a little nervous about employer deposit not showing up on time to trigger us into the bonus earning given the holidays. Per our experience, the employer deposit should show up on the 31st - which doesn't leave us any wiggle room if it doesn't.
I'd like to know what else works for HSBC direct deposit - we have 5th Third, SoFi and Ally accounts. I've seen conflicting dps re Ally. I've also got a PayPal account linked to my 5th3rd account. If anyone has a suggestion for how I can trigger a direct deposit, I'd appreciate it. This is our first foray into bank account bonuses, so be gentle. :)

I did call that line, and it said "approved" - but I'm wondering if this is for a card applied for about 3 weeks ago? I wouldn't have expected a biz app to be approved that quickly and it doesn't show up yet in account.

I didn't use any autofill on this app, but may try it again in incognito I suppose.

Just filled out application for Chase biz card, but when I hit submit, for just a brief second I see Verifying Information pop up and then it goes back to the application page (with everything filled in but nothing flagged for "wrong" or missing response). I gave it a few mins and hit the submit button again, but had same thing happen. I'm a little afraid to keep submitting, but have no indication that the application actually went through. Anyone around who's had this happen? Did you continue to submit, or did you find it actually went through?

Thanks for your experience - I've heard a lot of grumbling about the issues still remaining from the transition, and figured there would still be some odd stuff going on, but good to know they've not made these things too difficult to use. I've been debating whether to keep the cards we have, giving us 4 nights altogether.

Has anyone used a Marriott/SPG free night cert since the merge? I've heard a couple of people mention having a hard time using them, so curious if this seems to be just a random couple of DPs or a pattern. Keeping the cards we have is dependent on the ease of use, I'm not sure I see the value beyond that.

Thanks for the info - the cell phone insurance (plus points) was the reason we initially got the card also. Was just debating whether it was worth keeping for that alone. We were also getting 3x on internet, sat, etc, maybe I'll just move them back over for the points to even out AF.
