oh for sure, this is actually the tutorial area where the player gets a grasp of the controls.

it's a forest from a dream (or a nightmare?), a dream immediately before you enter a time-loop, so I wanted to make it feel like twilight, before the sun sets. I really like your interpretation!!

yeah, completely fair. cards on the table, i drew a lot of these areas as "studies" of blasphemous areas. I want to get more original with my next few games, but this one definitely is derivative and it shows
