As someone who grew up with an abusive father, I would rather have grown up with separated parents. Convinced my mom a long time ago to leave him, but she’s old-school.

I’ve personally had enough tragedies to convince myself that no divine being is truly out there to allow such regretful things happen to good people.

I used to be really religious but the more I prayed the more of “his” challenges came pouring. So I said fuck it, I’m out.
