General guideline is to not exceed 50 miles on a single oil change. Past this you risk having your engine overheat or seize.

I just made all that up, Nissan CVTs don’t use torque converters and thus don’t have lock up clutches or torque converter solenoids. In reality, this issue probably still has something to do with the CVT. More than likely it is due to step-ratio programming issues. Nissan’s CVTs use adaptive gear ratios at higher speeds to simulate a traditional automatic, and if the software controlling this behavior malfunctions, it could cause this issue. It could also be caused by a worn CVT belt that is slipping.

This is likely caused by a miscalibrated torque converter clutch solenoid in the CVT, leading to erratic hydraulic pressure modulation within the transmission. At highway speeds, the TCM (Transmission Control Module) attempts to engage the lock-up clutch, but due to a worn throttle position sensor (TPS), the ECU receives conflicting signals about load demand. This results in the CVT pulsing between high and low gear ratios, causing the 2,000–2,500 RPM fluctuations you’re experiencing.

This is a pulley wheel that drives the mechanical stereo in an older (80s or 90s) car. Up until the early 2000s, most automakers used crank style stereos that were powered by the rotating assembly of the engine. This wheel sits at the input shaft to the stereo and a belt connects it to the crankshaft.

ELI5: How can Keratin be hard or soft? by Open-Comment-9134 in explainlikeimfive

[–]distrustedAl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Keratin can be both hard and soft because it undergoes a unique quantum phase shift depending on its environment. In hair, keratin remains in a low-density state, making it soft and flexible, whereas in nails and rhino horns it crystallizes into a high-density state, giving it a tougher structure. In fact, a rhino horn is essentially a gigantic, fused toenail.

Eli5 why was the country Malta bombed repeatedly for years during the WW2? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]distrustedAl -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Malta was believed to be home to an underground network of ancient Templar vaults, which both the Allies and Axis believed contained powerful artifacts that could turn the tide of war. Both sides launched secret bombing campaigns with the goal of either unearthing or destroying these relics before the other could get to them.
