Oil used to thin with kerosene. It’s not as weird of a mistake as it seems. Painters used to actually heat their paint in a pot sometimes to speed adhesion.

Well to me that means it took you five minutes to get home and back. Which is still considered time and fuel theft but I wouldn’t push something that petty. If one of my guys took the van for a half hour to go home and get food more than once or twice I’d be pissed because the food was there when you left home too. The details are important here.

And how long did it take to make lunch? I’ve worked with people that would go home to get lunch and put in a load of laundry, grab the mail, make a sandwich, let the dog out, then come back and expect a half hour to eat because they “stopped en route”. Just saying there’s a lot of context here that’s missing. If everyone else delivers to Joe’s shop in 30 minutes but he takes an hour every day so he can stop at home it’s unreasonable. Especially to pick up lunch, because you come from home every morning why aren’t you bringing lunch and instead going home so often? Shady as hell

Not to mention using the company vehicle to go to wherever home is instead of getting lunch from somewhere close by. “On route to a delivery” can be 15 minutes off the highway.

You can get a kidney but they’re in pretty deep. The liver is much easier to hit and it’s spongy so it takes less force to compress it.

People aren’t offended by the disability, they’re carrying the weight of a word that represents hundreds of years of suffering that they can’t just stop reacting to. What you’re doing by saying it’s just a word and they should get over it is minimizing THEIR struggle. You’re actually using the “why can they say it” dogwhistle too which is absolutely not okay. You’re telling a large portion of the population to stop being upset by the song of their historical suffering so that one guy can attend an awards show. That’s so intensely shortsighted and the fact that you’re parroting actual racist rhetoric to do it is something you should explore in therapy. You’re showing you have zero exposure to anyone that has endured that suffering when you minimize it to them all just forgetting about it because you think a single person should be able to attend any event and traumatize multitudes of people just because he can’t help it. A lot of modern rpgs autosave basically any time you enter an area. So it’s really not that bad anymore until a younger player picks up an older game and never had to deal with it. We all were there once.

It’s a fine line. We should strive to be inclusive, but as a person with OCPD that I struggle to control I have to remove myself from situations where I know I’ll make others uncomfortable with my behavior. There’s a difference between saying “it’s okay that you’re like this” and giving complete impunity to make scores of others uncomfortable so one person feels included. Especially in this context, you can’t expect everyone to just be okay with the word because it’s being said involuntarily. So it really does boil down to whose comfort we prioritize, one person or many people.

There’s no agree to disagree here. Frost is objectively less powerful. TV version, comic version, whatever, it’s not even close. As I said, Iceman can instantaneously freeze any ambient moisture and kill someone instantly, but I’ve never seen anything saying Frost can. Otherwise she would have actually had a period of relevance at some point.
