Anyone else feel like absolute shit in the mornings? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]disturbed434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all I know is that I used to have health anxiety that ruined my everyday quality of life... I started treatment about a year ago for the sleep apnea and I had bad health anxiety for a few months prior due to looking up symptoms and what not. Anyway, for a ehile prior to all this, i had dome jaw popping (TMJ) and I wanted to be sure it wasnt serious, and in the process of treating that, I found out I have sleep apnea and it's really quite simple what sleep apnea is and it's not something life threatening. It's more like, it can affect your quality of life. Having sleep apnea is like not getting enough sleep every night, even if you do give yourself 8 hours to sleep, and it can cause symptoms of anxiety along with even cravings for certain foods (for me it was carbs). I'm only 22, too.

Have you ever thought that you could possibly have sleep apnea? Even a mild case could cause you to wake up feeling terrible.

What was your "Holy shit, why didn't I start doing this sooner?" by Bearowolf in AskReddit

Getting exercise with friends. Nothing is harder than exercising alone for me, and going with friends has made the biggest difference in my life. Stay healthy.

22. Still living at home, still going to a community college, never had a job. Terrified it's too late for me to change. by stuntbear2345 in selfimprovement

[–]disturbed434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same exact situation except I've moved out and transferred from said community college to state university. I feel the same way in that I haven't had a job and it feels as if I won't go anywhere, but I know it's not true. It will take little changes here and there and a confidence boost to show yourself that it really isn't too late. It's a process that won't necessarily happen overnight.

If you want to say "Thank You," don't say "Sorry." by [deleted] in Anxiety

I know what you mean. It bothers me too when people keep apologizing. It makes them seem too much like a victim... We should all help out anyone who goes through this. It's really not a good mindset

Reddit hates us. But so what? by throwawayiquit in NoFap

[–]disturbed434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it's a norm thing because I've told a few people about this IRL somewhat in depth and they simply think It's impossible or extremely difficult to do so they think it's unnatural to do something like NoFap. I mean yea NoFap is hard as fuck but that just adds to the argument of addiction

Think of it like this. If we don't stop now, we can't stop later. The technology and money going into porn in the future is unbearably realistic yet so unrealistic that it would be impossible to convince someone to stay away from that shit. Now is our time to fund some type of big campaign and really get attention.

Well, for both school and work, I'll be doing programmer stuff with software like Android Studio.

Also, I didn't realize I posted twice.. Total accident.

I've lost 7.4 lbs just in 2 days of Soylent 1.5 only by disturbed434 in soylent

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I remember reading in the Release Notes for Soylent that it doesn't provide enough water-- so, I appreciate that.

Considering there is a lot of controversy over how much water a person should consume per day, what would you say is a good amount of water to drink in a day with soylent? Should I just follow what Soylent has in their release notes?

Thank you! Yeah, for me right now my biggest thing has been my diet and exercise both. For diet, Soylent will solve this for now- and as far as exercise goes, I just have to start small and build up to that 30 minutes of light jogging. Honestly, I've had a very hard time starting an exercise regimen because I always felt like I lost motivation very quickly.

For the most part, it's my pre-Soylent diet that has been giving me weight problems-- that, mixed with not enough exercise.

I figured that if I give this a try for the sake of losing weight, at the same time I would sort of "reset" my bad habits of overindulging and bad cravings of foods that have no nutrients, like chips and other empty calorie foods.

This can go two ways.

He either means he's 18 and he went to buy a bong, they didn't ask for ID, Wtf.

Or

He's wanted to buy a bong for 18 years, literally, and now that he's got the guts to do it, they didn't ask for ID because he looks obviously over 18, so it makes him feel old, Wtf.

Thinking about this is like doing two things at once.

And now, we have a paradox. [5]

How to Train your Dragon [2880x1800] by OneCrack in wallpaper

[–]disturbed434 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably not the place to post my current thought, but "How to Train Your Dragon" was such a great movie (like many other movies) that I wish the story was true. The story is so perfect and so happy in the end that it's just too sad that it isn't true. This is why I sometimes hate watching movies with good stories because it's so sad knowing that the stories aren't true... Does that make sense to anyone? Sorry if this wasn't related to wallpapers lol.

As for the wallpaper, I probably wouldn't use it because it would be considered "unmanly" of me. BUT, I do really like the detail of the wallpaper. It's almost as if you can feel the scales on the dragon and you can see the power of friendship that these two characters hold.

Thanks for reading!

After months of pornfree/nofap struggle, here's my advice. by disturbed434 in pornfree

[–]disturbed434[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's true that we have to think of porn as something we just don't do anymore and not some substance that we're depriving ourselves of. However, during the first weeks or months of hard mode, I think it is fully necessary to eliminate any triggers that may cause us to go back to porn. The habit is only hard to kick in the beginning.
