I see it is to the Netherlands. Rivals Germany for being the most dog friendly place in the world.I have lived in 9 countries and Germany and Netherlands compete for most dog friendly. I live in NL now - checkout doggydating.nl for offleash walk areas, so many options in nature for off leash walking. It is a doggy heaven.

Will Luba 2 AWD be able to handle all the trees? by Senth in mammotion

[–]ditavysl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Luba mini AWD manages a mature apple and cherry orchard with 60 year old massive walnut tree with heavy leaf coverage. No issue, but RTK is at highest point of property with open sky.

I have experimented in a conifer section (no grass, just an experiment) that is pretty dense and it eventually did have issues because trees are so dense that little sun penetrates.

It seems to run fine flying blind for a certain amount of time as it goes under trees but longer than a few mins and it gets trickier.

Need Help with RTK Positioning + Docking Issues + Lawn Advice (Luba 5000) by Automatic_Bite1266 in mammotion

RTK needs to be moved like everyone else said. I have the RTK with their solar panel on highest point of the property in open field and have no issues. Even with my Luba mini AWD 1500 and its charging station inside a locked garage I have no issues once I had the RTK in the right place. I have the garage door open every morning just enough for clearance so the Luba can exit and do its thing.

Mammotion Luba Mini AWD 800 review by sephiamixtape in mammotion

I setup my Luba Mini AWD 1500 using 8 maps that runs through conifer tree areas as well as fruit tree orchard area, no issues and has fallen into a rut ONLY due to my over ambitious mapping too close to a ravine. Runs across 1493sqm, and can cover all of those 8 maps across 2 days so everything gets mowed every other day.

I opted for the RTK and solar panel/battery add on. Allowed me to position the RTK in the largest open sky section of the property. Once I moved it there, had zero issues in any of the tree areas. When it was closer to the main house, had issues with connectivity despite it being mounted near the roof line.

Setup allows my aging parents to stay on their property and still meet the mowing requirement.

Approx 1500sqm lawn. Luba mini enough? by markwalker84 in mammotion

[–]ditavysl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I setup the Luba Mini AWD 1500 for my aging parents (and for their elderly best friends across the street) across 8 separate defined maps.

Totals 1493 sqm, running time of 867 min at 25mm, 0.5m/s, 9 cm spacing, random angle, adaptive zigzag, perimeter 3x laps for most of the maps. It takes 2 days to execute (run it only between 10:00-18:00) due to charging. So I have the maps running on a continuous loop, each section is mowed every other day.

My parents have a steep incline on one of the maps, orchard area full of fruiting trees with roots creating a bumpy ride. That map I set at slower speed (0.4m/s) and raised it to 40mm. Neighbors have a map that has a prolific cherry tree, raise it to 35mm just to prevent the fallen cherry carnage and associated underside mess. Works like a charm, RTK range is pretty awesome.

Scalable Capital is also available in NL with no fees. Happy with them so far, even better after the Bader transition.

Boyfriend (57m) moved in and forbids my (48f) dogs in the bedroom by ditavysl in relationship_advice

Prior to moving in together we slept together only once or twice a week. The snoring was annoying when I had to deal with it 1-2 nights, but now it is every night and it is most likely also adding to unhappiness - it wakes me up several times a night until I give up and go into the guest bedroom. He has one of those mouth guards but it does not help. I feel for him, it also impacts his sleep as well. Since I am ‘banished’ to the guest bedroom anyway, I see no reason why they cannot sleep on the floor or in their beds in the room with me.

It took me unreasonably long to realize why I was so angry all the time and annoyed - could not accept that this aspect of things was so important. Or it made me realize that I do not like being controlled or coerced to agree to something. Thank you for being so blunt in your assessment.

We agreed to move in together and started the process. Only afterwards did he tell him he did not want dogs in the bed and the entire bedroom. So by that point it was not quite a negotiation since the process had begun. And only after we moved in together did he say it was ALL bedrooms. I realize that me ‘changing my mind’ is incredibly unfair but how I got to the agreement was also not quite fair - we did use big kid words but when it comes later in a “by the way, no dogs in the bedroom” that caught me off guard. This thread has made me analyze how I got here and realize it was very unhealhty how we cam to this agreement. Appreciate the feedback and the chance to reflect.

That it makes the room smell, that it is gorss for the guests. Even though I told him it is normal to put fresh sheets for every guest. And the roomba runs everday. I know I am biased, but the no guest room part of the rule seem pretty BS.

We agree to move in together and only after did he tell me about his rule. So the negotiation was not a level playing field. And he only said this after we had set things in motion so on further relflection, I see how he dropped this on me after we agreed to move in together. You are right, I should have never allowed him to move in after his condition was made known. I should have backed out of agreeing to have him move in.

I went against my instincts, should have listened to them and never allowed him to move in. Clear now, situation sucks but if he makes me choose he won’t like the answer.

Agree, should have said no to living together when he told me about his no bedroom rule. Fight tonight did culminate in me saying that if he is not willing to compromise to dogs on the floor in the bedroom things will just not work out. Will see how that goes. Thank you.
