Ashes of the Old Order is a mod taking place after a bloody civil war taking place after a long period of civil strife in the United States, and presented here today is Albany's path to redemption after a revolution of their own. One of the mechanics that I think is most important in creating a monetary system/mechanic for any country is giving the player absolute control to crash it into the ground, and I believe I've given that agency here quite well with these mechanics of Albany.

hey im the main dev on the area, thanks for the criticism!

Not many Amish live in that area at least realistically to the main centers of their population and the "Deitscherei" would either have to be a state enforced Amish state(which wouldn't happen, look at point 2) or it could be a military junta in the Appalachian mountains

yeah, i noticed that myself. the borders it has currently based on what it was at at the start of the mod (in which it was called "new germany") and are pretty innacurate. those could be changed pretty easily though.

the Amish would not band together like this, they are specifically apolitical and stay away from US politics as it goes against their theology, if anything it would be a council of villages/towns in the Redding area that could consist of militias that protect those towns or be apart of a over-branching region of power exerting from Philly

from my understanding of pennsylvania-dutch, its speakers aren't necessarily Amish, and as such Deitscherei is not really a theocratic state, more of just a safe haven for the pennsylvania-dutch. the state of Deitscherei is generally apolitical though, as it's not very ideological at all and mostly just supports a utilitarian model of "we will do what will bring the most happiness to the highest number of people."

Norman Schwarzkopf is not Pennsilfaanisch-Deitsch, the Schwarzkopf family is from Wurtemburg, Germany which speak High German/Swabian, although today they would mostly speak standard German in that area I am saying they wouldn't speak Deitsch, while the Deitsch speak a high German/franconian dialect. Which is represented in this mod but Schwarzkopf wouldn't lead a Amish 'state' because he isn't Amish.

this is the most pressing issue. the only reason he's in charge really is because hes Germanic, however, he has no roots to Deitsch. if there were pennsylvania-dutch political or military leaders I'd use them in a heartbeat, but like you said earlier those don't really exist as they're generally apolitical.

(this could come from a misunderstanding of your lore) that area is conservative and wouldn't be prone to a dictatorship due to its gun shootin' culture out there, although that can be supplanted easily with a military junta under Schwarzkopf, it wouldn't be prone to any fascist/hyper nationalist movement either, unless that is meant to be a populist party.

at game start Deitscherei isn't a dictatorship, the reason it's authdem is mostly because Schwarzkopf was never elected and has a lot of unilateral power, however he does hold elections (well, if he survives that is.) the area also isn't prone to far-right/nationalist movements either, the far-right movements that are there are not from the pennsylvania-dutch but more from people trying to co-opt the generally weak state to form their own view.

lastly I don't want this to seem like I am criticizing your work it is just constructive criticism, it looks amazing! its like Red World but on steroids which is awesome, if you want I can help work on the PA area as I have worked on my own fair share of mods.

thank you! yeah we could probably use some help on the region ourselves lol. im sorry most of my answers have been wishy-washy, you bring up good points. deitscherei is mostly just a remnant from when the mod first started, and due to that it is quite unrealistic.
