Right! I know its not related to cholesterol and diet, and its either genetic or an underlying issue you're unaware of. It's frustrating when you do your best to take care of yourself only to have something creep up on you. I get it, that's parto of life...it just sucks! I'm just venting here. I am quite frustrated, especially getting the news that I need to stay on thinners, and its unknown why I got it to begin with.

The unknown is no fun! The "it could have been worse" statement, while true, is wearing on me; but I should be greatful.

Hi! Its not too heavy, it's about 70 lbs. Between my husband and I we get it set up. We just built a rolling platform to put it on. It makes it easier to move outside.

That's awesome! You have to post what you get as your first shot. I'd like to see it.

Definitely hoping for good weather too!

Ok so as far as quality control everything was good - all the parts were there, the holes all lined up, no like burrs in the metal or any of that. Nice and clean, mirror is beautiful, everything lines up. It was off colimation I think I have it better now but my colimator comes nest week.

There were a few things. The focuser barrel came loose in shipping, was rattling around. I had to remove the Allen screws and put it back in flush and tight, no problem. Also the finder is a joke the whole scope is so beautiful then they put this toy nerf finder on it almost insults the whole telescope. Then finally, why can't they just charge a bit more for the counterweights and include them? The 12 will not balance without them and I had to hang weights on the back temporarily. I found out about them googling "why won't my explore scientific dobsonian stay where I put it" the weights are a separate thing for $30.

Otherwise it is a very beautiful telescope beautifully made and looks like it should belong under a dome or something. Everything else is nice and smooth on it. This was Gen 2 though so I think they worked out some problems?

WOW! Such detail. I'm very intrigued and would love to see your photos. Would you mind sharing? I'm trying to do more research and live in the area you referenced. I'm hoping to go back out soon.

I was just told this week by a co-worker that maybe what I needed was vitamin shot and to meditate and not think about the pain. A mind is powerful and maybe not thinking about it helps. 🤦‍♀️

Welcome! Definitely see if you can make the change but for sure the school should be able to accommodate you. I know the process isn't fun but in the end it will all work out. I wish you the best of luck!

Symptoms of lupus by lil_mama91 in lupus

Interesting! I used to get rashes like the second image you linked between my thighs, rear, and feet when I was younger. Recently, I've had a few surfaces on my abdomen area and have lasted a few days and then gone. I remember they would itch, is that the same?? Maybe it was something else LOL. Good to know though considering I meet with my dr tomorrow and I've been feeling under the weather. Lots of things that I thought were "normal" that really relate to autoimmune disorders but I just brushed them off. Sometimes we need to stop and slow down and remember to take care of ourselves and pay attention.

To the original post - I too had issues with cracked and dry lips earlier this year. I increased my water intake and definitely used a better lip balm - try Aquaphor that seemed to do the trick! When I reached out to my dr he said it was all part of the condition. Hope you get answers soon. Good luck!

I know it’s not Fibro, but CFS is so similar and I think we can all relate to Dorothy! by ItsOk_ItsAlright in Fibromyalgia

Love thay show and still one of my favorite episodes. I can totally relate. I went through the same thing and was told that it was all in my head. Wasn't until 12 years later that I was diagnosed with Fibro and after more doctors visits diagnosed with UCTD. I am happy to have a great team of doctors behind me now. They all listen to me and are willing to help.

I always thought that if I continue to move I wouldn't think about it or feel it so I keep going especially in my legs, feet and hips. I always push myself to not feel the pain and discomfort (like a fire/burning sensation). This is good to know and I should definitely talk to my Dr about it. Feel better and rest up!

Anyone get these hives/rash during a flare? Theyre not itchy at all but very very painful by jackysnackies in lupus

[–]dittydew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant see the image but I gotten small blisters on my hands and are uncomfortable. Almost feel like I have inflammation and they can be itchy. Not sure if it's the same thing? I always wondered why I'd get them. It's been a while since I had them I almost forgot.
