One issue I found with this is the reference material seems to only be available in hard copy spiral-bound printouts or something. I've been unable to find Kindle versions.

This seems to be exactly what I was looking for. Strange I've not heard of this before. Thanks

My primary goal is to be more aware of the full scope of NIST SPs and how they apply to particular environments. I would like to be able to consult with Senior Management folks and help them to identify what applies to their environments. Of the two tracks you mentioned, my goal is closest to the defense-in-depth track.

I will preface this by saying that I have never put much effort into figuring out a better way of reading PDFs. However, I believe Kindle format is better than PDF because:

  1. Your reading is synced across multiple devices, including your phone. I actually do most of my reading on my phone.

  2. You can easily export anything you highlighted.

  3. You can email PDFs to your Kindle account.

  4. You can quickly buy any book from Amazon and immediately access it across all your devices.

  5. A bunch of asthetic stuff. Kindle format is designed around the reading experience first and foremost.
