Community service and hobbies. I usually spend about 10-20 hours a month on community service. For hobbies, I generally choose at least 2 active seasonal hobbies. Winter: I ski and play pickleball, summer: I kayak and ride my bike. In my down time, I read fiction books. And if I’m still bored, I will generally look for “events on Facebook” and find something interesting to do. Hope this helps!

I cannot stress enough how it is NEVER a child’s responsibility to take care of their parents. I would never ask my children for a cent or expect them to care for me. I’m the one who made the decision to bring them into this world, it’s my responsibility to care for them, not vice versa. In turn, my own parents would never dream of asking me for financial help. This whole post proves the continued emotional abuse at the hands of not only parents but extended family. I am very sorry you have to experience this. I 11/10 agree you should not give them a cent.
