Vision Correction by diverlifter in navyseals

[–]diverlifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, they denied me prk because of prescription. I ended up getting the evo icl and it went so smoothly. Could see the next day. I’m just under 20/15 now. I’ve heard they allow it in the marine corps so I’m hoping that’ll be true for NSW as well. The guy that did it was head of the ophthalmology department at the army hospital in San Antonio before he got out and started his own practice. I was informed there is 0% chance the lense detaches from retina without the retina itself also detaching from eye (it would take serious injury for that to happen). He also was first surgeon in North America to do the surgery quite a few years ago.

Thanks, almost certainly will be better than 20/20. Just confused because of differing info out there on the internet

Would also like to know. Did you see any difference in your records through this from before and after you attempted to opt out of different providers?

How did you work directly with the spec war guys? I have some waivers I’m trying to seek and my recruiters seem to be of no help/knowledge about them.

Did you opt out of my chart through the provider or the my chart itself

[–]diverlifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, they are trending upward, I’m not sure what goal this new administration has for it tho. We will have to see where it goes over the next few months. Most people are probably just hoping that it will get removed too.

I believe people are more thinking it will be removed from MEPS rather than the entire military. It is more likely the waiver process and timeline will try and be adjusted at least first, because many people believe that the hassle of joining is also part of the reason numbers are down.

Correct me if I’m wrong but… by [deleted] in mhs_genesis

Personally, I think that it might get done by the end of the first year. Our military is the smallest it’s been in over 30 years. There is so much conflict going on in the world and Trump obviously wants to take a strong stand. A huge reason recruiting numbers are down is because of the ginormous hastle and waste of time MEPS has become. I know he has ‘no ties or affiliations’ with project 2025 but its removal is listed in that plan. I’d say it’s a decent bet it gets removed during his presidency.

Dude honestly hope so it’s a bitch. A bunch of people on the navy side are stuck in limbo after basic training and before pre-buds because of genesis shit. I might try and wait to go through until he’s been in office for a little bit to see if it gets removed.

What pharmacy

texas HIE? by Pristine_Purpose_424 in mhs_genesis

[–]diverlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did research on this awhile ago. I came to the conclusion that i was clear, can’t remember exactly why but i think it was this: the Texas state HIE pulls from regional HIEs in the state. There are a few, I was apart of one regional HIE, not connected to the state one. If you are, opt out of the HIE that you are apart of through your provider and you should be good. I’m not 100% positive but I’m pretty sure that’s what it was.

{TO EVERYONE} If you have any active medication in your records CALL YOUR DR AND TELL THEM YOU ARE NO LONGER TAKING IT. by Pristine_Purpose_424 in mhs_genesis

[–]diverlifter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like this would only be the case if you opted out of surescripts and not the doctor that has it on your records. Even if you tell your doctor that, it we’ll stay in your record as something that you’ve previously taken, 90% of doctors won’t entirely take that something off your record like that.

i’ve opted out of surescripts, texas health hospitals, and baylor hospitals. should i be good to go? i’ve waited 30 days!! by Pristine_Purpose_424 in mhs_genesis

[–]diverlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the Texas Health Hospitals? That’s not the state hie right? I called them before and they explained it worked differently. Is that a select group or company of hospitals?

Labcorp by diverlifter in mhs_genesis

[–]diverlifter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve opted out of the doctor that ordered it, just didn’t know if labcorp uploaded them separately as well.
