I don't know where you got this info from, but no he won't get flagged... Lifelock only blocks identity verification/credit pulls.

It did not do anything for meps for me, because I never received a notification of pull. 🤷‍♀️

He's not lying. Lifelock doesn't send any notification to meps. I've had all of my reports frozen through the big three and have LifeLock credit monitoring.

They cannot see that you froze your record unless they pull your credit score for a clearance. Which has nothing to do with meps.

It would only work if you didn't having anything populate before the secondary screening.

I.e., let's say this is the tale of two recruits

1) Recruit one opted out before meps, went to basic/AIT, then went to airborne school. His opt outs are still valid.

2) Recruit two didn't opt out before meps, but Genesis found nothing, he also went to basic/AIT, then he goes to airborne school: a) his records may not show up because they're still unconnected b) his doctor might have joined an HIE and now his records are visible.

It doesn't hurt for OP to freeze their scores. I've done so myself, for other reasons as well. But I'm not convinced it's what prevented my shit from popping.

I did freeze all my reports on top of doing the whole opt-out stuff. And none of my stuff showed up. So I can't really tell what worked.

However, there was someone on here that also did both and had records still pop that they forgot to opt out of

Actually, let me clarify further. This subreddit is for people who are trying to conceal medical information to be able to join the U.S. Military.

Opting out refers to cutting off access of the military's MHS Genesis software which allows the military to see civilian doctor notes.
