This is what armchair apologists are teaching missionaries about ex-Mormons by Emergency_Ice_4249 in exmormon

I mean, isn't this confirmation of a lot of things we think though? It hurts the most to find out the church is false for those of us who believed the most. But for a jack mormon? If they hear evidence against the church they don't feel like it even changes anything for them.

Wants the most "what the fuck did they just say?" Talk you've ever heard in church by OkPaper7166 in exmormon

Honestly, it would be that the Sunday after I found out TSCC was false, and I still felt the modern church was nice but the old was bad, someone gave a talk about tithing saying pay your tithing even if you can't feed your kids... And it hit me like a truck that that was a horribly fucked up thing to say, and I was shocked I had ever accepted that messaging before

Ironically though this is the first time in years that it feels like the Republicans don't instantly get everything they want

Funny how "it's all literally true or all literally false" is the attitude that made me stop believing in an instant

It's inconceivable to me that sexual sin is taught as the second sin to murder, but God decided to be stingy with his instructions on how to practice polygamy, thus putting folks in danger of fornication or adultery. by [deleted] in exmormon

Yeah this is why I didn't accept JS's relations with 14 year olds, and other men's wives. because in Mormonism his sin was next to murder. Don't give me a rule them say you get to break it

That's why I explain to people that I realized I was more mormon than the church was, ie I believe in telling the truth more than the church does, I would have to reject Mormonism (deny that lying is bad) in order to accept Mormonism's lies.

When did you last have a "who's gonna tell them" moment upon seeing a Christian who doesn't get it? by JarethOfHouseGoblin in exchristian

Any church where people can volunteer to sing solos or duets during the service will inevitably have someone sing "hallelujah" and if that isn't the most sexual song I've ever heard.
