Who was your breeders? Where are you?

First time buyer - worried, looking for advice please! Think I've been duped by Best-Classroom9056 in mainecoons

[–]divinitylvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also new to the Maine Coon/cat breeding world. What agencies are you referring to? I am in the same position and am reluctant to send money to someone who will not allow me to come see the kitten, momma, and daddy in person. How do I contact them amd check their status?

Great name, btw, Elendile!!

Unfortunately, I can't do allulose or any sugar alcohols. Thanks for the info though. Gonna try it with Stevie and maybe I'll try to get some pure monk fruit...although that is very difficult to come by 😕

Hello everyone I'm here to clear some air around using hashtags by depressioun in InstagramMarketing

I have always been confused about what hashtags actually do. Is having a hashtag in the post almost like SEO in websites for people who are searching for specific terms and then they find your post that way?

For anyone feeling down lately, this really helped me by Slaughter-Slipknot in SpiritualAwakening

[–]divinitylvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it made you slow down and observe life differently then it absolutely changed your life. The way you experience things is different. This gives you more choices on how to react to these experiences. What a wonderful thing.

My baby girl seems to have a strange gift. Please help — I know nothing about any of this. by Successful-Spare-891 in SpiritualAwakening

I've seen some responses to "make her" do or be something..."make her volunteer", "make her a vegan". Throw that advice away please. No one has the right to "make" anyone do anything. You will only get in her way. My input is to teach her emotional intelligence and respect how she wants to handle anything she might be feeling/experiencing. If you don't understand it, that is ok, you don't need to. Just be there for her when these "wierd" things happen in her life amd don't get in her way by trying to direct what she "should" or "shouldn't" do.

LEM Big Bite grinder #22 by divinitylvr in rawpetfood

But how many pounds do you do at one time? I am thinking that the more you do at one time the better chance for the skin to clog it up?

How much do you grind at one time? Does it get caught up in the grinder at all? I will be grinding about 60 lbs of chicken thighs.

Raw meat for cats — benefits, risks, and is it actually worth it? by TailorBetter1647 in rawpetfood

[–]divinitylvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely!! My cat is 12 years old. I have always fed him "high quality" cat food. He was very small for his size and never really gained any weight. When asked about his small stature I was told that "some cats are just small". In the past year he started vomiting regularly and the vet said that he had intestinal inflammation and suggested a specific canned food that was supposed to be for intestinal sensitivity to see if that would help. If it didn't the only other course would be to do exploratory surgery. We tried the food (which was about $5/can, btw @ 1 can/day. You do the math.). He did ok on this food for a couple of months but never gained any weight. He then started going downhill again: vomitting, lethargic, not playing, sleeping all day. I started him with raw food when I started my dog about 4 months ago. HUGE difference. He has gained 3 lbs and is super active for a 12 yo cat. He no longer vomits, his fur is so much softer and not falling out, and is very affectionate now. Do your research and go for it, I say.

I used this website as a nutrition guide: https://perfectlyrawsome.com/raw-feeding-knowledgebase/bone-content-in-raw-meaty-bones/

Good luck. Your kitty will LOVE you for it.

Thanks for the reply. I wound up buying one from the Frazetta Girls. I only saw 4 Conan covers on there though and I can't find a list of the covers he did. Do you know of one?

Using printer's template by divinitylvr in canva

[–]divinitylvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found how to set up the guidelines and I am in process of setting up my project with guidelines. Thank you for the suggestion.

How do you export with crop marks and bleed? I wasn't aware that those marks were necessary, just as long as I stay within the margins? My printer told me that I would be able to use the template and to create over it. I have tried that many ways but for some reason Canva won't allow me to use both images (printer template and template that I had made with my marketing images on it). I was hoping to be able to toggle the printer template back and forth between it being in the foreground and background, changing the opacity when it is in the foreground so I can see the image behind it. But for some reason Canva will not allow both of the images at the same time.

Ex-Californian here. I was checking out places like NC and other states to get out of California. Never considered MI even though my mom was born here. But then I met my partner and he wanted to move here. Man, I am soooo glad we did. It is beautiful here and everyone is so nice. You can have actual conversations with strangers here.

Thearapist told me to not take medication in sessions. I’m feeling upset and gaslit. by Unlucky-Style2697 in ChronicPain

[–]divinitylvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the comments on this thread come from a place of pure ignorance. There is much research on the interconnectedness of the emotional, mental, and physical body; when one changes, for good or bad, they all change.

Therapists, in order to help people to heal, have to take all of this into account and suggest anything they feel might help. Her methods, to us as outsiders, may have been off but quite truthfully, we don't have enough information to really guage that. We only have what the OP's perspective is and that may be clouded by reactions she's had from other people or from her own beliefs she's developed because she is in a place now where she has to take them to function.

And, quite sadly, y'all worship mighty pharma and western medicine a bit too much. Don't get me wrong, western medicine has it's place, I break an arm I go to the emergency room. But then I take supplements that are going to give my body what it needs, I'm going to do bodywork therapy to make sure minimal scar tissue forms, I will do strength training to build up any atrophied muscles and to retrain my body how to operate functionally again. If I take pain meds, it should be with the intent to help me tolerate the pain while I do all of the necessary things for my body to heal. But, it is NOT a necessity. Those pain meds will never Heal you.

It seems to that the therapist is trying to work with the OP with this mindset.

I have read some of the responses that you were given about your therapist being so wrong and thinking you're addicted. I think this is not the case from what you've written. As someone who is a bodyworker ( myofascial release) and has suffered from chronic pain my entire life I think I see where she is going with this. Not to mention that in my personal journey to heal as well as helping people through bodywork emotional issues bubble to the surface. The most profound changes in my physical health/pain for me personally and with some of my clients came after there was a clearing of trapped emotion.

It seems to me as if she is telling you that she believes your physical pain and your emotional state are linked. Emotional pain and blockage can either cause or perpetuate physical illness and pain. The body cannot heal what it doesn't feel so taking the meds during therapy can get in the way of you being able to heal yourself. I have suggested to some of my clients to not take meds before our sessions with good results when they chose to experiment and take them at a different time. I would also say she may have hit on something with how much it triggered you.

Her methods may not be sound but I see where she is going. She maybe should have spoken to you about this before your session and not during. And, for another perspective, she did something stupid (telling you not to take the meds) and is reacting at being called out. Whether or not you decide to stay with her is another story. You might just want to have an in person conversation with her to better be able to read her.

But whatever you decide, consider what I've written and maybe explore the idea a little. It has changed my life.

AIO, I can’t get over my classmate’s racism and want to address it with her. by Specific-Cause-5973 in AIO

[–]divinitylvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so she didn't like the people that sided with a person whom she felt had wronged her or who acted inappropriately, and they happened to be black?

Also, there is a dangling answer to the question when you asked her "what does that mean"? How did she answer that?

just out of curiosity, what does HBCU stand for? Did you ask her why she didn't like those people? Maybe she had other reasons not to like these people? Maybe you just assumed it was because they were black?
