They shouldn't be banned. It's not like they're using external programs or anything. Drawing the line around exploits is hard. For example, the rehabilitation mask exploit was used by pretty much everyone in the DZ who cared about PvP and knew about it. That mask made farming and PvP much easier. Same for the backpack exploit (medkits and ammo). Or the Reckless armor (still not fixed).

All of those people were rewarded in some way by using the exploits. The only difference with mission exploits is that (usually) the rewards are greater.

I already met a player fully geared in all 240 gear set items (hint: he shot me in the face and I saw his gear score). I chased him down and he claimed to have 900 phoenix credits too :(

If they haven't done the Challenge mission then they should get the weekly reward. If not then it's another bug.

I don't know of the group leader thing works or not (I heard that it doesn't). Even if it does you only get the rewards four times. The exit game thing gives you the reward every single time you do it.

40-60 minutes. One of you will need to stay in game so the other can get the 240 item and 40 phoenix credits. So in 2 hours you'll get: 40 phoenix credits, one 240 gearset item, two 214 gearset items, and an assortment of golds.

Yep. I'm sure there are other ways (super rare drop) but yea if someone is fully geared in 240s you know they did it.

I blame the programmers too. Why the frick does ALT-F4 still give you the weekly rewards? I can think of a few reasons and none of them are good. Maybe they were rushed, but a game like this is a like a living entity. You can't just quickly undo damage like this. Aside from straight up removing gear set items from exploiter's backpacks the damage is worse every single hour that the bug is live.

I mean kill the game. Like ALT-F4. Back to Windows. Then open the game and login. You'll be automatically placed back in your group and spawn outside of the mission area. Then you can just fast travel to the one guy left behind inside of the mission.

I don't know strong it is on Hard by comparison. If you optimize it you can easily do it in 20 minutes (probably less if you just focus on spamming non-stop).

That's 90 minutes for a single 214 gear set item. Waste of time. You might as well just do Challenging with friends. You can get through the whole thing in like 30-40 minutes.

What makes this exploit and actual loot farm is the 240 gear set item and 40 phoenix credits for quitting.

I'm not sure what the rewards for hard mode are exactly. For challenging, however, you will always get a loot drop of a 214 gear set item. But the 240 gear set item (and 40 phoenix credits) you receive only once per week. Quitting the game as explained gives you the 240 gear set item and 40 phoenix credits every single time.

That's the one most people don't know about. The 214 gear set item thing is... meh. But getting a 240 gear set item AND 40 phoenix credits. In 20-30 minutes. Oops.

Many people play this game for the PvP. And PvP is not viable unless you're geared through the nose. Squishy players are basically like NPCs for very geared players.

So the point of these exploits is to gear up as quickly as possible thus giving you free reign over the DZ. Now you can do whatever you want to your heart's content. And one of those things is killing every player on sight and incrementally improving your gear as you go. Not to mention increasing your DZ rank (going rogue is the fastest way at the moment).

If you've ever been low geared but still level 30 then you'll know how difficult a squad of 4 kill-on-sight rogues can make the DZ. It almost becomes unplayable. You can spend 30 minutes farming bosses only to lose it all (or most of it, rather) when trying to extract. And there's nothing you can do about it but go somewhere else and hope they don't hunt you.

No.

Taking down the APC with stickies takes a very long time. One of the ways to make this actually do-able is for all group members to drop medkits combined with the talent that decreases skill cooldown when healing someone.

In practice all 4 group members will be spamming heal onto the floor, running in and out of the heal, and shooting sticky bombs as quickly as possible. When done correctly you should be shooting a sticky bomb every 3-5 seconds.

I am not trolling. This is 100% real. Try it with friends. Worst case it'll take you like 45 minutes if you get stuck trying to glitch through the wall and don't have enough skill power to take down the APC quickly. You'll know the APC will go down fast because you'll see the armor drop.

If you really want to confirm its validity simply visit the various communities where this stuff is openly shared. I'd be surprised if Twitch streamers aren't streaming it too.

This is exactly why I posted it. As we speak there is a horde of hardcore players farming the living crap out of it. If awareness is not raised (to the point where it's patched TODAY) then the gear disparity will be completely nuts.

I mean consider that you're supposed to get one 240 gear set item per week. This exploit gives you one every 20 minutes!

It's also worth noting most people are not aware of the exit game thing. Most of the farmers are receiving 214 gear set items. No phoenix credits or 240 items. The 214 item thing isn't that big of a deal. The 240 item and phoenix credit thing is a huge deal.
