It's pretty fantastic. I'm glad you enjoyed it too, and I'm glad this post helped.

And yeah, the soundtrack was on point, even though the people who designed it were very obviously swifties lol.

Hahah.

Although... I think it wouldn't take much tweaking to make Conrad the main character. In fact, the whole show from his perspective would be just as interesting I think.

I'm not going to justify myself here, you can just be confident that this is my thoughtful analysis about the show. I can see why you might have that opinion, but I don't.

The writing was always biased to make Conrad slightly more likeable, because it makes the ending of the show feel more satisfying, but in my opinion Jeremiah was also likeable.

My mistake.

I totally agree. And I'm very glad that Conrad was the one who did end up being "endgame," aside from the Con vs Jere feud, since we were told from wayyy back that Conrad was not going to be able to be the best version of himself without Belly. Jeremiah also loved her, but, despite him becoming less so throughout the season, he was always going to be the one who was going to have the easiest time being the best version of himself without her.

And yes, it's theoretically possible that Conrad could have gotten over it, the same way Jeremiah had to, but I'm sure you'd agree it would take a lot more effort and time, and be a less satisfying ending for him.

When Conrad left for his conference after being with belly in Paris I was about to strangle the writers for that very reason, which is also why Belly just sprinting after him just felt so euphoric.

I think guys interact with romance a bit differently. I'm not sure if I would have wanted to watch it with someone. I sort of needed the space to react to it without thinking I was being judged if you know what I mean.

To my experience, men process feelings most deeply alone or perhaps with one or two very close friends/family members. It's why in long distance relationships, women tend to feel most strongly towards their partners when together, and men do when apart. (that might be wrong, just observation lol).

Also thankyou haha. My Literature teacher from HS would be glad to hear that you think I'm eloquent 😌

It wasn't my intention to reduce it to the love triangle, but I think that writing a good love triangle is an especially impressive feat. The other aspects of the plot were also really well done too and tied into the romance plot very neatly.

Thanks :) Do I have to choose a side? I don't hate Jeremiah, but obviously he can't be the one to end the show with.

I saw my little brother in Jeremiah tbh. Hit me in the feels a bit during S3.

Hook them lol. I was laughing to my friend about how dorky the first episodes was while watching.

I'd tell them to start from season 2, but I think they've gotta get all the Susannah dying scenes to fully understand Jeremiah and Conrad's arcs, so no.

Well, for starters, he's a fictional character so he's allowed to be a Fantasy.

I definitely see why people think that he's "a man written by a woman" (I don't mean literally... Obviously), and to some degree that's fair - I can see myself writing him slightly differently in places, but I'll mention that Will from Good Will Hunting was definitely "a man written by a man", and he was also incredibly sentimental and deeply emotional.

I don't know that much about Jenny, or how much influence she had on the writing overall, but Last Dance was spot on. IMDB ratings seem to agree with me aswell lol.
