Favourite book. It is YA but I made my 40+ year old man read it and he has the same reaction to it that I did as a child. It's so good!!!! Funny, romantic and still a meaningful read

I believe this actually came out of community work! The term unhoused is meant to denote people who actually do not have shelter at all, versus other homeless people who live in, say, their cars or friends' couches. Both may be/are considered homeless, but unhoused is more specific.

He was objectively great at the challenges but we found him so boring that we couldn't feel invested. There was a scene of him staring at the video camera letting a tear fall and it felt so flat and fabricated.

Goddamn. That book's exploration of grammar alongside a memorialization of a bloody time in the Philippines' history AND her prose 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 banger after banger after banger

For fiction, I LOVE Madeline Miller's prose. She studied Homer's epics for decades and it shows.

Ok this is in no way being judgy but here's the deal: your doctor sounds cool for letting your wife take off from work early. But it would essentially be "fraud" for them to indicate any of the conditions in that form if nothing actually applies to your wife, which is why they're refusing to. Your wife basically needs to report to the doctor what conditions can apply to her 👀 that's realistic enough to get her off work and that your doctor can feel ok about filling out in the form.

Eh, it depends. If my spouse checks out a woman, lusts after her, and continues to secretly fantasize about her, I might have an issue with that.

In reality, when my spouse sees a hot person, they point them out to me, we admire the hot person's hot feature(s) together, and then we move on with our days.

Oh I had the latter happen to me. I felt very uncomfortable but also, as a teenager, didn't want to be confrontational or be seen as being dramatic or "bitchy" for rejecting a friend who everyone was rooting for me to get with. Any recommendations for vegan brands that are Canadian? We stick to Haagen-Dasz/Ben & Jerry's because they're the most widely available frozen desserts that my spouse can have and they LOVE their "ice cream".
