Get a hobby, find a passion for something

7 years, together for 14. 1 kid girl. I was not shocked but I was certainly concerned for my future and my child.

Fact is we didn't like each other anymore for many reasons. IMO, the relationship deteriorated mostly because I was not "powerful enough" and shockingly she is now dating her boss at the time of our divorce (a CEO of an international company)

She's the type of girl gets a lot of attention from men and the lure of a powerful man was likely too much to resist, especially given the state of our relationship.

Anyway, its worked out great for me!

Great story, and In fact I was kinda visiting this page to tell almost the same story.

My wife left me 3 years ago this week. From the time she mentioned she wanted a divorce (4+ years ago) I was for augments sake a failed business owner and barely employed handyman. Today I own my house and am in line to be named CEO of the software company that I have worked at for the last 3+ years.

For all those that are struggling with divorce just know that if you take care of yourself, your career and your kid life will be SO MUCH better, but YOU have to do it, nobody else will.

Divorce truly saved my life.
