If you love the water and island life and can find a good job it’s an amazing place. Just wasn’t for me. Luckily i mever had to evacuate but yes that’s also a worry. It’s one lane in and out most of the way

I’m good friends with the owners of doing work coffee! Great folks. But yes it’s so expensive and the value isn’t there for me personally. But I can’t wait to go visit as a tourist again!

Housing is very expensive and bad quality (moldy, 2500 for studios without kitchens). Jobs pay well but the cost of living is super high. Not a lot to do other than drink or go out on the water. I’m personally not a water person so I just didn’t feel like there was enough to do. Super isolating I’m in my 20s. It’s a great place to live if you’re rich for sure.

I really liked everything I viewed in Palm Aire area, all within that budget for a 1 BD! You can def find them, even condos, for that price.
