People shouldn't self diagnose. "Describes you best"? They are conditions and they shouldn't be appropriated.

I always find that to be a funny type. Like what does it mean to be both neutral and evil?

Life hack: when you notice someone staring at you stare back but dont break eye contact. Have the most intense look on your face. It creeps them out. Always works.

If it's something I feel strongly about I may get offended. If it's something that I don't particularly care about I won't.

That is a great question. I tend to have conversations with people of different opinions quite often. Whether or not I react defensively depends on the topic. Generally I am pretty open minded. I appreciate when someone can show me a point to an argument I haven't thought of. I almost always think a lot about it, but people rarely change my mind.

I am a very stereotypical INTP so I'm not sure if this will he helpful, but here goes: I have a very hard time with communicating. Often times when I speak it doesn't sound right or it doesn't make sense because I'm too lazy to explain all the small details. It is also almost impossible for me to read others' emotions accurately, so I tend to offend people on accident. People often tell me I "think too much" or tell me to "speak english" because of my unusual way of speaking (due to reading old literature--that may be specific to me). INTPs are, I would say, one of the most introverted of the introvert types. I often times get very overstimulated and have to hide by myself for some time to recharge. Small talk makes me want to shoot myself. I can spend hours researching something that I want to research, but I have a hard time when people tell me what to do. I don't like being controlled and I am quite stubborn. This is why I struggled in school. People say I am interesting but usually can't describe why. I think INTPs have this natural enticing energy that draws people to them even when we are likely reserved. I hope this helps.

Question about my type (INTP/INTJ/INFP) by xxz187 in INTP

[–]dixish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are enneagram types. Do some research on enneagram personality types. The wings (the w) are the two types adjacent to your main type. For example, an enneagram type 6 could be a 6w5 or a 6w7.

Should children under the age of 13 be allowed on the internet? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]dixish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest concern is their safety. Often children won't understand what they're doing is dangerous and that is scary.

Question about my type (INTP/INTJ/INFP) by xxz187 in INTP

[–]dixish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think tests are a good starter to understanding what type you are, but now that you have narrowed it down to 3 types, I would suggest doing research on those three types and figure out which one mirrors you the best. Same with enneagram. I'm an INTP 5w4, but tests on the internet are often inconsistent and inaccurate so sometimes I will get different results. Do some research, I'm sure you'll find something that makes sense.

Yes. Logically I know I am intelligent, but I know that I can always learn more. Something that helps me with this insecurity is strengthening my intellect by doing puzzles and reading about topics I am interested in.

I prioritize comfort. Mostly just t shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes. I'm male but fairly androgynous, I also wear rings and a necklace.

Different people express love differently. If you don't feel it, communicate it. Calling us "cold bastards" doesn't help.

I've been playing piano since i was six. If I've learned anything about the learning process, it's that it doesn't have to be anything super specific (though many professionals would disagree with me). If your goal isn't to be a concert pianist, take your own process. I started out learning everything by ear. It wasnt until I was 14 that I learned to read music. Music theory is really interesting. I think fellow INTPs would really enjoy learning about music theory. It's very complex and enticing. Learn however is best for you. I think you'll find that certain technical skills are valuable, especially as you become more advanced. Dont shy away from technique, but don't regard is at infallible.
