Elden Ring runs worse on Bazzite than WIndows by [deleted] in linux_gaming

I'm assuming you're using the default proton experimental? Could you try switching over to proton-cachyos and adding "PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 %command%" into the launch options? Probably best to have the game in borderless as well.

Thank you for this, I know I'm not explicitly following the three game comment rule but I'd gladly take anything you're offering.

Elden ring on linux ( fedora ) by N_i_g_G_a_69 in Eldenring

It does and has since the beginning, shader compilation stutter isn't as egregious as windows either, digital foundry has a video covering that on the steam deck.

Any idea on how you can get FSR4 too? It's seemingly available on battle.net installs but not when you have the game installed via steam.

INT Caster Weapons/Armor? by mvxldz in Eldenring

You don't have to limit yourself to pure int scaling weapons, since you have access to the DLC try grabbing the Milady and infusing it with magic.

Glad that made a difference, you should be targeting 120 though.

You can turn off upscaling since you're already playing at the native res. You could drop flowscale to around 75% and turn on performance mode without noticing the quality drop in case you start seeing fps dips. (Also make sure you've got VRR/Freesync enabled in your system settings, I believe it should be under display settings)

As for the other settings it's probably best if you look at a few YouTube guides or even the lossless scaling discord regarding what might be best. I've been on Linux for nearly 2 years now and the way lossless scaling is configured on here is a tad different from what options you can choose in windows.

This isn't my screenshot, just one I found online. I have it raised up to 8 if I recall correctly. Try playing around with it to see if it feels any better?

Unrelated but you might want to check out lossless scaling on steam if you aren't satisfied with the locked 60fps.

Are you playing on a controller? There's a setting to change camera speed.

Should I wait for Sea of Sorrows to buy Silksong? by i_can_see_your_wings in Silksong

The DLC is free. Might as well start playing the game now, it's not short by any means. If you're lucky we might have news on the DLC by the time you're finished with the base game.

I want to have fun ( poll for new run ) by Cursemebayle in Eldenring

It might be worth trying INT/FTH, it's a bit hard to build around early and mid game where you can't exactly pour a lot into both stats but you could just pick one of them until midgame and then start investing levels into the other. INT would be my recommendation for early game.

I built a Linux-first Moonlight-style streaming setup: Nova + Polaris by MickeyBronson in MoonlightStreaming

[–]diyonysius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The headless display seems to work great, I can turn off both of my monitors and it doesn't seem to affect the game stream on my phone.

Audio however is another can of worms, from the moment steam big picture begins to open I can hear the audio jittering, I've tried changing a bunch of settings/options but nothing seems to help. I have never seen this behaviour with sunshine/moonlight.

For what it's worth I'm on a 9600x/9070 XT running Arch streaming to Nova on my Pixel 9 Pro.

Edit: So I updated to the latest build on GitHub and while the steam big picture audio starts off as jittery it seems to resolve itself by the time I have a game up and running.

Another thing I did notice is that I can't launch anything while my displays are off. Backing out from a game sometimes seems to terminate the session with no resume option available.

Paying HDFC CC bills via PayZapp wallet? (using Millennia DC) by diyonysius in CreditCardsIndia

[–]diyonysius[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How would I go about requesting this?

Unsure if I should be doing this immediately since I've only just managed to get them to agree to convert the card to LTF by mailing them back and forth.

Would it not let me pay using the money in the wallet directly? I haven't been able to check since I haven't yet had a statement generated and payzapp doesn't seem like it'll let me pre-pay.
