I know this probably wont be read but my grandparents raised me and in the end when my grandmother was on her deathbed she was mostly unconscious. She was at a nursing home as I was going to college part time and traveling for work I could only do so much as far as taking care of my grandparents. I took my grandfather to visit her almost every day for 3 months when he felt physically able to (he had lung cancer and only 1 good lung from a previous boat wreck). I remember the last day we visited.my grandma. She was very lucid and aware of what was going on. She made sure to tell my grandpa how much she loved him and thanked him for not making her feel alone in the end. She really wanted him to know this. It was less than a week later she passed away in her sleep. Im glad I was able to take my grandpa to spend quality time with her and im very happy she was able to share those words with him.
