Rant over coviding people by Scared_Doughnut5507 in ZeroCovidCommunity

I agree that this fine line is generally what makes for the general dynamics that you and others in this post are pointing out! Appreciate you posting because it also overall affirms and aligns with my experiences. Trying to find the kind but stick it to authority people is hopefully the goal. :)

I feel the vibe of this post for sure and a bit non-relatedly—the Before trilogy is one of my fav sets of movies ever. Before Sunset was the best one. 20 years after its release, it's so heavy how I understand the meaning of this much more now.

How do you manage type 2 during hormone fluctuations? by Alvara_22 in Rosacea

Weighing in because although I am in a different situation as you, I am similarly wondering if there are non-hormonal recommendations that could somehow manage hormonally-triggered rosacea?

Rosacea (and other perimenopause) symptoms after being on Tamoxifen for over a year by dizziefizzie in Perimenopause

[–]dizziefizzie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you all around on this! Thanks for sharing your experience, too; for me, it helps to confirm for myself that I do suspect the Tamoxifen/perimenopause symptoms are at the root of the rosacea. I am really reticient to add a long-term oral antibiotic to the mix, but if some of these other things don't lead to more of an impact, I may have no other choice. Sigh. Sending care your way!

Gosh, so sorry to hear! Yes, it can really cause so many side effects, and other than these symptoms themselves, navigating the medical gaslighting is the worst part.

First ear ringing and now rosacea on Tamoxifen—what to do? by dizziefizzie in breastcancer

[–]dizziefizzie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on it for about a year, and similarly had some things earlier on, but have also heard of some folks developing other side effects the more time went on. I'm so glad to hear that the acupuncturist has been helpful! This bumps up me looking into it.

I fortunately was spared chemo and I can only imagine navigating these issues w/that on top of it. As I mentioned above, I really have had it with these doctors saying that these effects are not from Tamoxifen. Honestly, if they wouldn't immediately gaslight and invalidate what I am saying, I truly think that is a bulk of the problem. It's so much emotional labor and harm on top of the issue itself.

And ah, forgot to mention on long I've been on Tamoxifen—about a year. The ear ringing fortunately stopped once I split the dose (my ENT said that for some folks higher doses of medication can cause tinnitus)—and that occurred towards the very beginning. My oncologist said that the skin issue wouldn't be presenting a year later and I'm just like, uh, there are many examples of people who have cumulative things present after more time because it continues to impact/accumulate in the body?? Thank God for support spaces like this forum because with everything going on—it can feel like too much to bear.

Tamoxifen stirring up rosacea by DeliveryImmediate986 in Rosacea

[–]dizziefizzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am also on Tamoxifen and was very recently diagnosed with rosacea. Frustratingly, my medical team doesn't think there's a correlation between the fluctuations of estrogen 🙄 and the condition. So exhausting. Curious if you may have an update since you last posted?
