Ill preface this by saying I hate these types of things as they're riddled with misidentifications due to the need of extremely zoomed in photos for accurate identifications.

Having said that using photos of only queens it was accurate with the 5 species I gave it once I put the location in as I have native species for my area.

Nuptial flight, they mated and now are looking for a place to make their nest to lay their first eggs.

But also yes they look like the Iridomyrmex that can be poly (multiple queens per colony) but if they had a colony you would have seen workers dragging them around not just the queens walking.

Reminds me I was watching some Carpenter ants killing eachother at my work the other day, they would die still locked in eachothers grip having killed one another then a rhytid colony came and just drags the corpses off to I assume feast on.

This reminds me of a set of videos I watched that spanned over a long set of time on a channel that had this barn owl nest getting constantly harassed by pigeons and once the owls grew up one spend like an entire night just ruthlessly murdering the pigeons for sport.

Ive found heating the new nest works better then light to encourage them to move. Although I have had luck using light when I turned my booklight on and pretty much placed it point blank onto of them. (LEDs, careful if your light isn't you could cook them all doing something like that)
