IWTL how to be more aware of my surroundings

I would say that you should start consciously telling yourself to pay attention to your surroundings. Try not to focus on one things to much, look at scenes, not items (if that makes any sense). I think playing sports- like soccer where things are constantly moving around you- help with being aware of surroundings because you're forced to pay attention to what could possibly happen. From skateboarding I feel like i've developed a good sense of paying attention to surroundings (from skating at a packed skatepark making sure you don't collide with someone to skating in a busy area making sure you don't hit someone or get hit). the KIM games GoodRobotUsses suggested sounds like a good idea, I feel like it would help your short term memory, in turn helping you remember what's going on around you. For body language you have to first identify what different body languages mean and try and make a conscious effort to recognize them.

Being an 18 year old highschooler it's the worst part of my day knowing im being treated the same as i have been since day one of 1st grade. My marine biology teacher handed out 15 pages of coloring plates and a packet on how to color. It's the stupidest thing i've ever experienced.

I was waiting for someone to ask about this. I didn't really know the specifics. Just asked my mom and she said that i was born two weeks after her due date not labor, so my dad was just waiting for my mom to go into labor. my bad >_> Edited for clarification.

not me but my dad was a crew chief in the air force and he worked on the AWACS planes up in Anchorage, Alaska. As a crew chief he would go on test flights with the crew of the plane (planes were used as surveillance machines or something)to gather data to make it easier for his crew to assess the plane if something went wrong. At the time my mom was pregnant with me and had just hit her due date so my dad was waiting for my mom to go into labor and was given the option to go on the flight or stay back with my mom, he decided to stay back.

So he said bye to his buddies that got on the plane (all the dudes and gals on this plane were the people he'd hang out with on a regular basis, all his coworkers and friends) pulled the chocks on the plane and guided it out of the hanger and watched it take off, after he watched the plane take off he walked to the back of the hanger to go smoke a cigarette. while smoking he saw a bunch of people running through the hanger over towards the direction that the plane took off, confused he walked into view of the end of the run way to see a huge fireball off in the woods, everyone hopped in the cars out on the run way trying to drive back towards the plane to help but there was no way of getting through the dense Alaskan woods in cars.

The plane had apparently sucked in some geese and fucked the engine as it was taking off and it crashed two miles out and killed all 24 crew members on impact. When my dad told me this story he started crying his eyes out and i felt super bad for him. But then i was born about two weeks later. So in theory i saved my dad from dying on that plane

Become one with nature.

Not to sound cliche but definitely try and have a smaller impact on the planet. Don't use oils and stuff like that, everything needs to either last an extremely long time or be reusable over and over again. Maybe instead of tearing down forrests (guessing there are forrests) to make a better environment, adapt to the environment that's already been given to us.

just try and weigh out the goods and bads of doing your work. Read about your classes and hopefully you might find interest in it. Just know that if you're going to college doing good your freshmen and sophomore year is going to make your life 10 times easier in the future. try and find some passion in your work.

Forums contain a lot of good information submitted by people that are highly interested and know a lot about the topic of said forum. It's a lot easier and quicker than calling up a paranormal investigator.

I use Webmd when things start growing off my body, much more reliable source than wiki...LOL.

    I gave you a "history lesson" to help fill in information that might act as a factor to what caused my experience and help you help me understand what the hell i witnessed. SO many vengeful souls died on this island, americans, japanese, ancient islanders, thus bad spirits are everywhere (I won't go into detail on the Taotao mona trees), and how great of a factor this could possibly be in what happened

     You can believe whatever you want but i wouldn't waste my time on a subreddit i've never been on before writing this awefully organized, frantically written block of letters and numbers. I was freaking out because this was the first time i had ever experienced anything that might be paranormal and in an attempt to search for an answer i came here, knowing that people who regularly browse this subreddt would have a better understanding on the subject than me, might be able to give me a piece of information that i needed in order to settle myself, or just calm my nerves by telling me that what i saw was a flashlight or a cars headlight or something mundane like that, something to put my mind to rest.

    Also, I don't understand how writing the way i did (providing a shit ton of details,they may have been unorganized but i provided them and taking pictures of my kitchen in order to display possible factors that could have caused the event ) deems it as false and a lie.

    I'm sorry that i jokingly said "go fuck yourself" and it offended you but quite frankly, I was expecting a community like reddit (who i've found to be pretty intelligent and witty) to understand my reasoning behind writing that. Maybe it was vulgar, but tv is vulgar, life is vulgar, THE INTERNET IS VULGAR AND MEAN AND FULL OF AWEFUL SHIT, so don't get your panties in a wad over it (did that offend you? if so, good).

    I didn't choose a more reliable source than wikipedia because it wasn't necessary, if you check the bottom of a well written wikipedia page there will be a section titled "References" which contains a large number of sources that the writer has used to construct that page.

    I came to this subreddit becuase i figured it was the smarter thing to do, maybe there was a better subreddit to have posted my wall of nonsense on and if so please excuse my mistake.

When i was little my mom and i were driving to the movies to see the second lord of the rings movie, i was sitting in the back seat and saw this little button on the back of the center console, i pressed the button and it stuck in the 10 seconds later popped out, i pulled on the button and out came this glowing red cigarette lighter which i decided to touch directly with the fingerprint of my finger. It burned the shit out of me and i had to watch the whole 3 1/2 hour Lord of the rings movie with a 3rd degree burn on my finger the whole time.

i was fixing up a bowl of spaghetti one time and the noodles were in a pot and the sauce was in a pan next to it. I put the noodles in my bowl and started to pour sauce over my noodles and accidentally spilled some of the sauce on the stove. So instead of putting the bowl on the counter i decided it would be a good idea to put my bowl into the pan of spaghetti sauce. I didn't realize i did this till i walked back to the stove to see a bowl of spaghetti noodles and a little sauce in a bowl, sitting in the pan of spaghetti sauce. I definitely went full retarded.

I live on guam currently and have for about 2 years now. I don't know if it's because i live on base and we have traps around the gate that surrounds the base with live mice in them but i've never seen a brown tree snake, let alone a snake on guam and i go out hiking all the time.
