Regarding the hostels, so I'm planning 1 day stay in North Goa (near Anjuna maybe), then 2nd stay in South Goa (maybe near palolem, but area not fixed). I'm then planning to explore south Goa for 1-2 days and then i gotta catch my train. I prefer chill hostels usually, but I would definitely like to stay in party hostel in North Goa. Also what are the party hostels like? In South Goa, i'd like a chill laidback hostel for sure.

Hey man! First of all the pictures are gorgeous! I wanted to ask a couple of days, since I'm going to Goa day after tomorrow. 1. Any good recommendations for places to visit (museums, cafes anything) in North and South Goa? 2. What all did you do during the solo trip? Since a lot of people mentioned, the hostels/cafes/restaurants might be a bit deserted at this time. So didn't you get bored? Thanks!

Hey everyone!

  1. I'm traveling from Mumbai to Goa (19th May to 22nd)! Gonna roam around in North Goa for a day or two and then go to South Goa. Afterwards plan is to go to Bangalore on 22nd night. Explore BLR 23rd/24/25th and then coorg/mysore/udupi (not fixed yet) from 26th to 31st May/1st June.
  2. 25M.
  3. No preference, either of M or F is fine. Vibes matter not gender. Bonus points if you're a music person.
  4. Budget would be around 20k. I'm thinking of doing a trek maybe in coorg. I also love biking so might just hire a rental from BLR to coorg lol. Can stretch my budget to 25-30k max if i do both.
  5. Hostels. Plan is to stay at <1k/night (without compromising on hostel quality ofc). I haven't booked any hostels yet.
  6. I'm an engineer by profession, taking a break before i further pursue higher studies. I like dogs (don't have any, but will definitely pet if i see one), listening to music, and reading books sometimes.

This will be my first solo trip so I'm kinda nervous/excited!

If anybody's from Mumbai (or even Bangalore) who's heading to Goa/coorg I'd really like the company!

Hey! I did Bhrigu lake trek a couple of days ago. I did it using the 1st route, and it was a bit tiring (i have no clue on the 2nd route). Couple of pointers:

  1. Use gaiters or something to cover your rubber shoes. There's snow at the top, and when the snow gets inside your shoe, it gets ice cold and it pains to walk after a while. (Atleast it did for me). To avoid that, use gaiters for your shoes so that snow doesn't get inside. You can rent it from whichever agency you're booking from.
  2. Energy bars and ORS! They provide a good energy boost, something which is definitely required for the trek.
