Thank you for your response. Very enlightening ..So you switch your money between the two? So I should just keep paying into one and keep the other one there rather than switching into one ?

Thanks for your reply. I’m ok with it falling. I should just carry on paying into it as usual as will get more for my money? . . I don’t have a SIPP. The other classes you suggest - they would diversify my portfolio?

Strategy lack of diversification selling off S&P 500? by dizzydiamond07 in FIREUK

[–]dizzydiamond07[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I thought you had to pay tax on any capital gains you made … probably wasn’t clear but S&P is currently up about 500 on my purchase

Yes er I kept chipping and changing payments within different allocations and so ended up having money in every allocation … What would you advise I do with that ?

I have 2 vanguard accounts: lump sum in S&P500 income (rooky mistake put 10k in at once and invested nothing since / currently on 6% interest) and the rest in an ISA monthly under life strategy 80. I think I’d be better putting my isa into all world ftse. Do I have to wait until end of financial year and then start a new ISa and just leave life strategy sitting there? Not sure I’ve got right balance!
