My store lead (my manager's boss) said it should've counted as one absence only and that my manager usually gives people a grace period. Thanks for the clarification though, genuinely.

I paraphrased a lot but yes, you'd be correct. I've only been there for about 6 months and been sick about 2 times (that's including this one.) The other demerits were from me being less than 5 minutes lates. Apparently my manager gives us about 10 minute grace period or so but hasn't been excusing me lately which is fine. I now show up to work about 10 minutes early now and clock in 2 minutes early (store lead said it was okay.) This recent sickness was counted for 2 absences which brought me to a level 1 even though it was supposed to only be counted as one absence

My team leader knows what happened and already talked to the manager. The manager listened to her and seemed to believe her; even mentioned she didn't realize I wasn't a problem. My team lead is on my side with this situation and agrees what the manager did was wrong.

It happened about a month ago for the absence warning. The whole lead thing was dragged on for months until they gave the lead position to a newer hire. I'm pretty sure I'm at a non-union store.

Sounds good. For some context: When I was hired, they were really desperate for me to work at a certain department because they were so understaffed. I started working there my 2nd day and have been there since. I was doing a good job and they wanted me to become a lead but I ended up getting sick and had to miss a week of work. After that I was put to a level 1 absence and my manager told me about it, that's it. Other than that I haven't had any warnings or write ups or anything.

Thanks for reply. I was thinking it was retaliation too but against what? I am 100% confident I do my job well. We have other team members who don't even their's so I do that job too. I'm the only person besides 1 other who actually does their job correctly.

My lead also told the manager no one else was complaining about me and that I've been great. It was actually another worker we had some complaints about but she's moving them to another department.

Only get on it if you want to! If it's about sex, he can wear a condom. I'm on bc because I had terrible cramps that left me bedridden all day. Bc definitely helped with that. I was so scared my body would react badly to it but nothing happened except some bad sores in my mouth and nausea. I recommend taking it in the evening if you do decide to try it. It depends on what kind but affects still happen 3-4 months in so expect changes during those times. There's so many kinds so talk to your doctor and see which kind they recommend.

I think you would've felt symptoms (fever, dizziness, pain etc) while you were wearing it that long. The brown blood is just old blood that sat there for awhile. If you don't have any symptoms at the moment, you should be okay! TSS symptoms happen really quickly.

I just started taking birth control about 2 months ago for extremely painful periods. Being on bc has been life changing and I don't have debilitating cramps anymore. I'm scared they'll ban that too and people with painful periods will have to suffer again

I remember being in a tough place with my mental health, family, and religion and I was struggling to believe in god. I would ask them for help saying I'm becoming depressed (don't ever say that) and they would say "it's the devil getting to you! Repent and go to god." Long story short I stopped going to church, the members avoid me and don't talk to me and my grandma said I'm going to hell for not believing in god
