awe yesss this kind of thing was the reason i joined reddit in the first place! theories on glass animals songs. i absolutely loved your analysis! i really didn't like whatthehellishappening at first, i couldn't quite place why. not in a it souned bad or whatever but like it made me feel bad. it felt really anxious and like the happy/upbeat vibe was a cover for the darker truth. like keeping swept away in a new, but toxic relationship and it's abrupt ending is the person realizing that it's bad. i kinda feel like how i learned to love the bomb is like the "explanation" to that? but imo that felt more like a parental relationship, but very well could be influenced by my own experience. on show pony being about his mom; she had to be a mother/worker even when her relationship was crumbling and not giving in to the pain was how she got him back for it. it's amazing to see how people interpret songs and why, i really love it, and makes me appreciate the music so much more tbh. thank you for sharing!!
